The analyst is responsible for developing advanced financial models-including cohort analysis, acquisition and retention forecasting, and multi-scenario planning-while preparing accurate forecasts, analyzing variances to identify trends and opportunities, and providing actionable insights.\nThe ideal candidate brings exceptional financial modeling expertise, advanced technical aptitude, and strong analytical capabilities. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams-including operations, IT, and field leadership-to influence strategies through data-driven modeling, ensure financial integrity, and drive process improvements.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain complex financial models to forecast membership and dues revenue, including cohort-level analysis, acquisition/retention trends, and multi-scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives\nDevelop and enhance rolling forecast models incorporating detailed analysis across Centers, cohorts, and markets; validate model assumptions and ensure accuracy\nCreate and maintain annual budget models and quarterly forecast models in collaboration with business leaders; manage model version control and documentation\nDevelop and maintain the five-year strategic financial plan, building sophisticated long-range models incorporating business drivers, market dynamics, and growth scenarios\nBuild analytical models to identify membership trends, variance drivers, and key performance indicators; prepare variance analysis and sensitivity analyses\nLeverage modeling tools, Adaptive Planning, and related technologies to standardize model structures, improve efficiency, reduce calculation errors, and enhance forecasting accuracy\nPrepare and present detailed financial reports and model outputs for senior management; explain model methodology, assumptions, and recommendations\nProvide field leadership with model-driven insights and reporting to enhance forecast accuracy and operational decision-making\nPosition Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field\n3+ years of advanced financial modeling and financial analysis experience, with demonstrated expertise in complex, multi-dimensional models\nExpert-level Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, scenario analysis, data validation, and model optimization\nProven expertise building financial forecasting models, including revenue forecasting, cohort analysis, and variance modeling\nExperience working with financial systems and analytics tools such as Workday, Adaptive Planning, Domo, or Alteryx\nProficiency with AI tools for financial analysis, modeling, and research; experience with Claude preferred\nProven ability to manage multiple modeling priorities, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality, auditable work with meticulous attention to detail\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex models to non-technical stakeholders\nCollaborative mindset with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships\nDesire to continuously grow technical modeling skills, business knowledge, and overall impact\nPreferred Qualifications\n5+ years of financial modeling experience in subscription-based or membership business models\nDemonstrated expertise in acquisition & retention cohort modeling and forecasting\nPython or SQL skills for data manipulation and model automation\nExperience with Adaptive Planning, OfficeConnect, or similar FP&A modeling platforms\nExperience building models in team environments with version control and documentation standards\nFamiliarity with scenario planning and sensitivity analysis frameworks\nPay\nThis is a salaried position starting at $85,000.00(or applicable minimum salary, if higher) and pays up to $117,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.Benefits\nAll team members receive the following benefits while working for Life Time:\nA fully subsidized membership\n\nDiscounts on Life Time products and services\n\n401(k) retirement savings plan with company discretionary match (21 years of age and older)\n\nTraining and professional development\n\nPaid sick leave where required by law\n\nFull-time Team Members are eligible for additional benefits, including:\nMedical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage\n\nShort term and long term disability insurance\n\nLife insurance\n\nPre-tax flexible spending and dependent care plans\n\nParental leave and adoption assistance\n\nPaid time off, including 5 to 20 vacation days per calendar year (based on tenure) and paid sick leave\n\nDeferred compensation plan, if the team member meets the required income threshold\n\nLife Time is a place for everyone.
