As a closed door pharmacy, our focus is on fulfilling patient prescriptions in an accurate, timely manner. Patient interaction will be limited.\nResponsibilities\nAll activities will be performed under the direct supervision of a pharmacist\nFilling individual prescription orders both manually and with the aid of a semi-automated device prior to final verification by a pharmacist\nCassette filling of semi-automated dispensing device\nBubble packing medications\nMaintaining a clean and organized work environment\nPacking orders for shipping\nFulfilling over the counter orders in the adjacent warehouse\nChecking inventory into the pharmacy and inventory management systems\nRoutinely checking for and quarantining outdated medications\nPerform continuing education required for pharmacy technician certification renewal (at such a time that Pennsylvania statutes require it)\nReceiving and organizing: Unloading deliveries, moving and organizing merchandise, and putting away inventory\nProcessing orders: Reading and understanding work orders, picking items, and labeling products\nPacking and shipping: Inspecting items for damage, packaging them, and loading them onto trucks\nQuality control: Ensuring that products meet quality requirements and that shipments are accurate\nInventory cycle counting\nUpdating systems: Updating inventory tracking systems and finalizing work orders\nMay be trained to use a forklift\nKitting/preparing inventory needs for the pharmacy and Amazon\nAny other duties assigned by a manager or pharmacist\nRequirements\nAt least 18 years of age\nHigh school diploma or GED\nAbility to pass FBI background check and get registered with Pennsylvania as a pharmacy technician trainee\nAbility to perform basic math (addition, subtraction and multiplication) and count accurately\nExperience with compounding is a plus\nMail order pharmacy experience is a plus\nAbility to learn and perform operations within pharmacy management software systems\nRead, comprehend and implement company policies and procedures in daily practice\nDedication to punctuality and low absenteeism\nAbility to study and pass pharmacy technician certification examination with either the PTCB or NHA at such a time that Pennsylvania statutes require it\nMail order pharmacy experience \nAbility to learn and perform operations within pharmacy management software systems\nFast learner with a detail-oriented mindset\nPerform effectively as a member of a larger
