How you'll contribute

An Administrative Assistant who excels in this role will:

Serve as Administrative Assistant to VP/Chief Nursing Officer and VP/Chief Financial Officer. Provides support for the Nursing Supervisors and Clinical Coordinators. Assumes primary responsibility for all clerical functions of Nursing Administration.

Assumes primary responsibility for all record keeping in nursing administration, including processing payroll and managing timekeeping software.

  • Acts as a resource for nursing services personnel, including assisting with check requests submissions and verification of expense reports for signature.

  • Sorts and distributes all mail for hospital. Runs mail through postage machine and maintains all supplies and maintenance requests for postage machine.

  • Acts as liaison between nursing administration, other departments, employees, medical staff and outside agencies, including managing calendars, facilitating meetings and appointments, making travel arrangements, managing email announcements, and assisting with software.

  • Responsible for arranging, facilitating and taking and maintaining minutes for various department meetings, including sending notices to Physicians, compiling Agenda items for distribution, and preparing power point presentations.

What we're looking for

  • High School Graduate or equivalent Required
  • Three years previous clerical experience
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
