Our Marketing and Communications team plays a vital role in strengthening the hospital’s brand, reputation, and connection with the communities we serve. As Director, you’ll lead a talented team in developing and delivering strategic marketing and communications that support organizational priorities, engage diverse audiences, and bring our mission to life. Working closely with executive leadership, providers, employees, patients, community partners, and external stakeholders, you’ll shape meaningful messaging, build awareness of our services and programs, and support key organizational initiatives. Your strategic leadership, communication expertise, and ability to build strong relationships will help shape how our organization connects with and serves our community.

How you’ll contribute

As the Directorof Marketing and Communications, you will excel in this role by:

• Leading with vision to develop and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies that advance organizational goals and strengthen the hospital’s mission and reputation.
• Partnering with executive leadership to communicate organizational priorities, key initiatives, and strategic messages across internal and external audiences.
• Strengthening the hospital’s brand and community presence through strategic marketing, communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement.
• Connecting with diverse audiences by creating clear, meaningful communications for patients, families, employees, providers, community partners, and other stakeholders.
• Building and inspiring a high-performing team by fostering collaboration, professional growth, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Using data and insights to drive strategy by evaluating performance, identifying opportunities, and measuring the impact of marketing and communications initiatives.
• Leading with integrity and sound judgment by ensuring communications align with healthcare regulations, organizational standards, confidentiality requirements, and the needs of the communities we serve.

Schedule: Full-Time: Days; 100% On-Site in Wilson, NC.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field preferred; applicable experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Progressive leadership experience in marketing and communications, preferably within a complex healthcare or similarly regulated environment.
• Strategic marketing and communications expertise with the ability to develop and execute integrated strategies that support organizational goals and strengthen brand reputation.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messaging for executives, providers, employees, patients, community partners, media, and other key audiences.
• Strong people leadership and team development skills, with a track record of building collaborative, high-performing teams and fostering professional growth.
• Business and financial acumen with experience managing budgets, allocating resources, evaluating performance, and using data to guide decisions.
• Strong relationship-building and change leadership skills, with the ability to build trust, navigate competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and effectively lead in a dynamic healthcare environment.
