As House Supervisor, you are the on-site nursing leader during night shift, helping coordinate staffing resources, patient placement, and clinical support across departments. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who enjoys variety, critical thinking, and being a trusted resource for others. You’ll collaborate with providers, nursing teams, department leaders, and the Administrator on Call to respond to patient care needs, support escalations, and keep operations moving smoothly throughout the hospital. From the ICU and Emergency Department to Med Surg and additional inpatient areas, your leadership helps create a safe, responsive, and supportive care environment.
How you’ll contribute
A House Supervisor who excels in this role:
- Provides after-hours leadership and operational oversight across the facility, serving as a key resource for nursing teams and supporting safe, effective patient care
- Partners with ICU, ED, Med Surg, and other inpatient units to assist with patient care needs, staffing support, clinical prioritization, and escalation of concerns
- Helps coordinate patient throughput, admissions, transfers, and bed placement to support timely care and an efficient patient experience
- Responds to clinical and operational needs with sound judgment, helping teams problem-solve and maintain continuity of care during off-shifts
- Promotes quality, patient safety, and service excellence while supporting follow-up of after-hours issues and events in alignment with policy
What we’re looking for
- Current North Carolina State License or Compact License with North Carolina endorsement
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- ACLS preferred; PALS preferred
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Prior acute care RN experience and demonstrated leadership/charge experience required
