How you’ll contribute
- Performs various imaging special and invasive procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Implements, recommends, delegates and coordinates special procedures care to a group of patients.
- Prepares special procedures lab and sterile table for various procedures. Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross-contamination.
- Checks emergency equipment each day.
- Preforms daily Quality Control on equipment.
- Responsible for ordering supplies and maintain inventory in a cost effective manner.
- Puts all exams in Taken status immediately after completion of exam
- Checks ancillary audit trail daily to assure all charges are correct.
- Positions and preps patient for procedures. Assures all consents, H & P are available prior to procedure.
- Monitors patient condition during procedure by observation, EKG, and blood pressure via physiological monitor. Coordinates patient monitoring with procedure nurse.
- Positions equipment according to physician instructions.
- Analyzes and interprets data for physician reports.
- Be able to route images to PACS and burn CD's as necessary.
- Assures terminal cleaning of special procedures room has been completed by Environmental Services when procedure is completed.
What we’re looking for
- Education: Associate's degree
- License: A.R.R.T certification
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
