Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to creating a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all building occupants.\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities\nResponds to emergency maintenance requests; Troubleshoot malfunctions; Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems to make improvements to equipment and machinery \nApply plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical repair skills daily to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently\nEnsure building systems operate safely, reliably, and effectively through timely maintenance and repairs\nUtilize precision measuring tools and techniques to perform accurate repairs and installations\nPrevent costly errors and maintain quality standards through careful measurements and workmanship\nPerform carpentry and drywall repairs to restore and maintain facility structures\nContribute to a safe, functional, and professional environment through ongoing facility upkeep\nClimb ladders and access various areas of the facility to conduct inspections and complete repairs\nPerform physical tasks required to maintain equipment, systems, and building infrastructure\nCommunicate effectively with team members regarding maintenance needs, issues, and project status\nReport problems clearly and provide timely updates on maintenance activities\nFoster a collaborative and responsive work environment through effective communication and teamwork\nLocate source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and listening for problems using precision measuring and testing instruments; Install new equipment and parts\nAdjust and remove defective parts by dismantling devices; Use forklift, hand and power tools; Examine parts\nFabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment; Monitor compliance of team\nMaintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; Anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies; Place and expedite orders; Verify receipt\nProvide mechanical maintenance information; Prepare reports; Maintain records of scheduled procedures\nMaintain teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs\nComply with regulations to keep safe and clean environment; Keep maintenance shop constantly organized\nReport to workstation on time; Wear proper work attire; Assist in setting up work area\nFollow SOP, SSOP, GMP, and general safety procedures \nConduct behavior in compliance with Lifeway Employee Policy\nPerform additional duties as assigned\nQualification and Education Requirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent \nProven experience in maintenance work involving plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical repairs\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics\nPhysical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, and perform manual labor\nStrong communication skills, including the ability to talk and hear clearly in a work environment\nPreferred language ability: Russian\nPreferred Qualifications:Certification or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, or a related field\nExperience with precision measuring instruments and advanced carpentry techniques\nFamiliarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in building maintenance\nBasic knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)\nFirst aid and OSHA safety certifications\n\nLifeway Foods, Inc is a growing Chicago-based beverage manufacturer with 40 years of experience.
