The ability to work quickly and efficiently as part of a team, take direction, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure is crucial.\nEssential Job Functions:\nDevelop and proof math models for slot games that demonstrate game probabilities and return to player via theoretical calculation and/or simulation.\nCode, test, and debug simulations of slot games to gather statistics and verify accuracy of math models.\nCollaborate with software engineers and math test engineers to ensure math models are properly implemented and compliant with applicable regulations.\nCollaborate with other mathematicians and game designers to brainstorm new game mechanics and to determine mathematical feasibility of concept math models.\nDevelop an understanding of competitive products and technologies.\nQualifications\nTraining and/or Experience:\n2+ years of professional experience in applied mathematics, probability, and/or combinatorics.\nGaming industry experience is desirable but not required.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nHave good written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work will with others in a team environment.\nAbility to bring projects to completion with minimal supervision.\nAbility to adapt to a customer-oriented, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\nProficient in Microsoft Excel.\nExperience with C++, C#, or a similar object-oriented programming language.\nFamiliarity with working in a Windows programming environment, including Visual Studio.\nHave strong multi-tasking skills.\nEnjoy working in a creative environment.\nInteract and collaborate with immediate team members and senior level professionals.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience required.\nPhysical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
