Pay Range:\n$120,000 - $140,000 USD\nLightFeather is seeking a GCP Cloud/DevOps Engineer who will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires expertise in infrastructure automation, cloud security, networking, and CI/CD pipeline development. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive cloud optimization and automation efforts in a high-security government environment.\nThis role offers an exciting opportunity to shape cloud automation and infrastructure strategies in a high-impact government environment.\n Location: In-Person (5 days/week) in Washington, DC\nJob Type: Full Time\nClearance Requirement: U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to federal contract requirements and the need to obtain and maintain a Top Secret-level security clearance\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP.\nDevelop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.\nSupport CI/CD pipeline automation, integration, and management.\nCollaborate with software engineers, security personnel, and government stakeholders to support development and deployment workflows.\nMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure cloud services meet SLAs.\nImplement cloud best practices and ensure compliance with federal security standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).\nProvide documentation and knowledge sharing with the broader engineering team.\nRequired Qualifications\nWilling to obtain a security clearance.\n4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years on GCP.\nHands-on experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery.\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.\nSolid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).\nExperience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.\nPreferred Skills\nGCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.\nExperience supporting federal government contracts and understanding of ATO processes.\nFamiliarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.\nScripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.\nWhy Join LightFeather?\nAt LightFeather, you're not just taking a job-you’re joining a purpose-driven team that delivers innovative, mission-critical solutions to make a real difference.
