In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize OCI solutions while ensuring compliance with federal security requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise across OCI compute, networking, storage, databases, security, and automation, with the ability to support mission-critical federal systems. This is a Full-Time, Hybrid Position requiring four days onsite and one remote day per week.\nLocation: Hybrid, On-site 4 days/week in Washington, D.C. 20036 and 1 day Telework\nJob Type: Full-time\nSalary: $160,000-$180,000 annually, based on experience level. \nClearance Requirement: Candidates must possess an active Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, deploy, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including compute, networking, storage, and database solutions.\nConfigure and maintain Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, gateways, and load balancers supporting mission-critical applications.\nImplement cloud security best practices aligned with federal compliance frameworks, including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.\nMonitor system performance, optimize cloud costs, and ensure high availability across OCI environments.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex OCI-related issues, providing escalation support when needed.\nCollaborate with security, development, and operations teams on cloud migrations and enterprise modernization initiatives.\nMaintain detailed documentation covering cloud architectures, configurations, and operational processes.\nRequired Qualifications\nActive Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\n5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, including at least two years of experience working specifically with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.\nStrong knowledge of OCI compute, storage, Identity and Access Management (IAM), networking, and database services.\nProficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform and Ansible.\nExperience with cloud security, compliance, and monitoring solutions.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to support mission-critical federal systems.\nFamiliarity with Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE) and Docker.\nPreferred Qualifications\nOracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect certification or related OCI certifications.\nExperience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments integrating OCI with on-premises systems.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation frameworks.\nHands-on experience supporting the Department of State or other federal civilian agencies.\nStrong knowledge of federal IT security standards and accreditation processes.\nWhy Join LightFeather?\nAt LightFeather, you're not just taking a job-you're joining a purpose-driven team that delivers innovative, mission-critical solutions to make a real difference.
