Lightship and this role are highly collaborative! You will be working cross-functionally with multiple engineering organizations to work towards our common goal of building the best all electric camping experience possible.\nResponsibilities\nSet up and execute a wide range of electrical and mechanical product tests. Testing includes: Safety, performance validation, and reliability tests with development and pre-production level parts and assemblies.\nLead in-test reporting of progress, failures, and testing risks to the test engineering team both onsite and remote\nCollaborate with test and design engineers during post-test root cause analysis to identify failure modes and areas for product improvement\nFabricate various mechanical and electrical test fixtures using a range of manufacturing processes\nMaintain all tools and equipment in the lab and continue to acquire and install new equipment to increase lab capabilities\nMaintain test assets (test vehicles and test stands) and prepare them for testing, evaluation, and demonstration.\nCollaborate with test engineers during the test planning phase to ensure feasible and realistic alignment with program goals\nMinimum Qualifications\n6+ yrs experience working as a technician in the automotive/EV, cleantech, or aerospace industries\nExperience instrumenting test articles with sensors such as accelerometers, thermocouples, and electrical sensors, and working off of a documented test plan\nExperience with data acquisition systems and measurement devices\nExperience with welding, shop, and fabrication equipment\nDemonstrated experience working in and maintaining a lab development environment\nExperience towing trailers or RVs\nExperience creating custom wire harnesses and test fixtures with little oversight\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior experience working in an automotive test lab\nExposure to and proficiency with high voltage safety, power electronics, and electric motors and propulsion systems\nWorking knowledge of automotive and AC electrical systems\nExperience with soldering and instrumenting circuit boards\nExperience troubleshooting software and CAN messaging systems\nExperience generating technical documents for training and test report generation (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)\nCompensation\nActual pay rate will be determined based on qualifications and experience.\nLightship compensation consists of the stated pay range plus equity, which gives you a stake in the
