You will be responsible for driving the adoption of Lightspeed Payments within Lightspeed's existing merchant base in North America. This is a dedicated cross-sell/upsell position focused on transitioning current Point of Sale (POS) customers to our proprietary, integrated payment processing solution.\nThis position reports to the Global Payments Sales Manager and is part of the Global Payments GTM team.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nThe primary responsibility is to meet and exceed sales targets for Lightspeed Payments adoption among existing merchants.\nPipeline Management: Generate and manage sales opportunities using leads sourced from Account Managers, direct phone/email outreach, and follow-up on company-led marketing campaigns.\n\nSales Execution: Manage the complete sales cycle from initial qualification and value presentation through pricing negotiation and contract closure.\n\nCustomer Launch: Partner with Onboarding teams to ensure a smooth transition and launch for merchants adopting Lightspeed Payments.\n\nInternal Expertise: Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) on payment processing for other units, providing guidance and training as required.\n\nProduct Feedback: Collect and relay merchant feedback regarding the payments product to the Product Management teams.\n\nReporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, pipeline status, and opportunity notes in Salesforce.com.\n\nOther Duties: Handle additional duties and responsibilities as defined by management.\n\nWhat you need to bring:\nCandidates must demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:\nPayments Experience: Direct experience (3+ years) in the payment processing industry.\n\nSales Closing Role: Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in a closing role focused on technology or solution sales.\n\nOpportunity Development: Proven ability to proactively generate and qualify new opportunities.\n\nTarget Achievement: Documented history of success in a revenue target or quota-based environment.\n\nCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French language skills are considered an asset.
