As a part of the Marketing team and reporting to the Events Manager, you'll get our sales team in front of the right people at the right events, and make sure everything behind the scenes runs without a hitch.\nAs our Events & Marketing Assistant, you will:\nBe a driving force behind our event presence - research the right events, manage registration and logistics, and ensure the sales team is show-ready\nOwn the details that keep events running smoothly, from shipping booth materials to coordinating with vendors\nSupport broader marketing efforts, including supporting lead conversion, to help fuel our pipeline\nAbout the Role\nThe following are the essential functions of the position. This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary:\nResearch and identify relevant industry events, conferences, and trade shows aligned with company goals \nManage event registration - booth space, sponsorships, and attendee sign-ups \nCoordinate event logistics - travel, internal pre-event communication, show service orders (AV, electric, material handling, etc.)\nHelp plan event happy hours, including researching and selecting venues, gathering and comparing pricing, and coordinating event details\nManage shipping and receiving of event materials, booth assets, and promotional collateral, ensuring items arrive on time and intact \nSupport post-event follow-up, including lead capture organization and handoff to the marketing/sales funnel \nSupport lead conversion - nurture campaign support and CRM data hygiene \nAssist with general marketing tasks and projects as needed, including content coordination and campaign support \nKeep event and marketing records accurate in the CRM \nPerform additional duties and projects as assigned\nAbout You\nThe following knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and key behaviors are preferred or required to perform this job.\n1-2 years in event coordination, marketing, or related client-facing roles; four-year degree required \nHighly organized, detail-oriented, and good at managing multiple moving parts at once \nThrives on logistics, deadlines, and vendor coordination in a fast-paced, evolving environment \nStrong written and verbal communicator \nSelf-motivated, resourceful, and reliable, with a proactive problem-solving mindset\nAbility to travel occasionally to support on-site event execution \nProficient in Microsoft Office\nSalesforce experience, a plus\nABOUT US \nWith more than 25 years of serving education, Lightspeed Systems delivers the most in-depth visibility and control to power exceptional schools where students are safe and engaged; technology is compliant and easily managed; and resources are secure and optimized.
