As our Production & Delivery Manager, you will run our factory floor across several jobs at once, from materials coming in the door to finished panels going out on a truck.\nThis is a hands-on, on-the-floor leadership role. Factory laborers and temporary crews will report to you, and you will work daily with our engineering team and robotics technician to keep the line running, fix what breaks and turn every project into a repeatable process.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduction & Crew Leadership\nPlan and run the daily and weekly production schedule across multiple jobs, balancing labor, equipment and materials\n\nLead, train and schedule factory laborers and temporary crews, and coordinate with our staffing agencies\n\nOwn floor operations and safety, including material handling, machine moves and crane lifts\n\nRun quality checks and keep rework low, escalating issues to engineering with a proposed fix\n\nMetrics & Continuous Improvement\nOwn a production scoreboard: throughput, schedule attainment, rework hours, downtime, quality issues and safety\n\nReport results weekly and lead the conversation about what to fix next\n\nFind bottlenecks, standardize what works into written work instructions, and build cross-training so the line does not depend on one person\n\nCoordinate preventive maintenance with our robotics technician so it happens between production runs\n\nMaterials & Procurement\nOrder, receive and track materials against each job's bill of materials, working from the buyout our Preconstruction & Procurement Manager sets up\n\nManage inventory and critical spares, and stage materials so production never waits\n\nHelp put a purchase order and receiving process in place for repeat orders\n\nShipping & Delivery\nPlan outbound loads, loading sequence and near-site storage, and get product to the job site on time\n\nCoordinate deliveries with site teams and make sure what we ship matches what we promised\n\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years running production, manufacturing or construction logistics, including 2+ years leading crews or team leads\n\nTrack record of hitting output targets while holding the line on safety and quality\n\nExperience managing several projects at once, with production scheduling, materials, inventory and inbound/outbound logistics\n\nComfortable with data: you set targets, track them and act on them\n\nComfortable coordinating temp labor, trucking and equipment vendors\n\nThrives in early-stage ambiguity and can build structure while running the work\n\nAble to work on-site in Northbrook, IL, five days a week\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrefab, panelized or modular construction experience\n\nHardware, automation or robotics manufacturing experience\n\nLean or continuous-improvement training (for example kaizen events or standard work)\n\nForklift or crane coordination and rigging awareness; OSHA 30\n\nExperience launching a new line or facility\n\nHow We Hire\nA short intro call, conversations with our engineering and operations leads, and a walk through our Northbrook factory.\nWhy Join LightSpeed\nRun production at a company building homes with robots\n\nBuild the factory playbook from the ground up as we scale\n\nWork side by side with the engineers who design the system\n\nCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits\n\nEmployment Relationship\nThis position is at-will, meaning either you or the Company may terminate employment at any time, with or without cause or notice.\nEqual Opportunity\nLightSpeed Build Technologies is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
