Eng. (ECSA) is an advantage.\n\nEssential Entry-Level Knowledge:\nTechnical Knowledge: A solid foundation in the technical aspects of engineering - knowledge of engineering principles, concepts, and practices.\n\nCommunication: Effective verbal and written communication; ability to communicate complex technical information to team members, stakeholders, and clients.\n\nAnalytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze and interpret data, identify trends, make informed decisions, and solve problems independently and as part of a team.\n\nTime Management & Leadership: Excellent time management, task prioritization, and strong leadership skills to manage a team and provide clear guidance.\n\nSoftware Proficiency: Proficient in software such as Inventor, Solid Edge, SolidWorks, project management software, MS Office Package, and MS Projects.\n\nQuality & Safety Systems (SHERQ): Experience with workplace safety and quality management requirements (specifically ISO 9001:2015).\n\nPerformance Deliverables\nProject Planning: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations (personnel, equipment, materials). Align project plans with strategic objectives (MPT’s Project 500 Strategic Plan and SHERQ Policy).\n\nDesign and Engineering: Ensure projects meet technical specifications and quality standards. Review and approve engineering drawings and plans. Resolve technical issues and implement ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.\n\nResource Management: Ensure resources are allocated and used efficiently to meet timelines and budgets. Oversee hiring, resource tracking, and procurement of equipment/materials.\n\nRisk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation/contingency plans. Monitor compliance with applicable codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.\n\nCommunication: Coordinate with project managers to provide regular updates to stakeholders and clients. Facilitate discussions to keep all stakeholders aligned on project goals.\n\nDocumentation: Compile Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and maintain the project Databook. Write OEM equipment manuals and ensure technical datasheets and certificates are in place.\n\nClient Management: Compile project schedules/reports, track items behind schedule, and communicate operational updates effectively to clients.\n\nTeam Management: Monitor fabrication and assembly in the workshop to ensure compliance with standards. Assign work, provide guidance, and ensure team adherence to project deadlines.\n\nSafety, Health, Environmental, Risk & Quality (SHERQ): Adhere to SHERQ policies, protect personal and team safety, wear required protective gear, and report safety risks promptly. Active participation in the SHERQ Management System.\n\nBudget Oversight: Oversee project budgets, track actual spending against allowances, direct resource allocation, and manage contract/budget changes.\n\nReporting and Documentation: Compile and present progress/solution reports to stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, process maps, and diagrams.\n\nGeneral: Execute additional reasonable tasks within your expertise as instructed by management.
