We have multiple locations in Benin, Warri, Okuokoko etc.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Technical Buyer\n\nLocation: Warri, Delta\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nJob Summary\n\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Buyer to support procurement across Projects, Biomedical Engineering, and Facility / Asset Management.\nThis role will coordinate the sourcing and purchase of technical goods and services, helping teams obtain the right products and supplies at competitive prices and within required timelines.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with technical teams, Supply Chain / Procurement, and vendors to understand requirements, check specifications, evaluate quotations, and follow purchases through to delivery.\nThey will also support cost control, procurement planning, and supplier performance monitoring to help ensure value for money across the Group.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nObtain and coordinate quotations with Supply Chain/Procurement in line with the organization’s procurement processes.\nCoordinate the sourcing of engineering materials, biomedical equipment, spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies based on approved technical specifications and user requirements.\nSupport procurement planning by tracking requirements, lead times, delivery schedules, and anticipated purchasing needs.\nMaintain clear and accurate procurement records and contribute to reports on sourcing activity, costs, supplier performance, and delivery status.\nContribute to supplier performance monitoring by tracking quality, responsiveness, delivery reliability, and compliance with agreed terms.\nFollow up on purchase requisitions, purchase orders, supplier commitments, and deliveries to support timely fulfilment of requests.\nCheck supplier documentation, product warranties, quality information, and other supporting records as part of the procurement review process.\nWork with technical teams to confirm that proposed products and equipment meet required specifications and are suitable for their intended use.\nReview BOQs and BEME submitted by external vendors for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.\nPrepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and Bills of Engineering Measurement and Evaluation (BEME) for internal project use.\nConduct price benchmarking and market surveys to support informed purchasing decisions and cost control.\nPrepare technical bid comparisons, evaluating offers against specifications, price, quality, warranty, delivery timelines, and required documentation.\nClarify procurement requirements with Projects, Biomedical Engineering, Facility/Asset Management, and other relevant technical teams before sourcing begins.\n\nQualifications and Experience\n\nGood analytical skills for comparing prices, reviewing supplier offers, and supporting value-for-money decisions.\nExperience sourcing technical materials, equipment, spare parts, tools, or maintenance supplies.\nAbility to prepare or review BOQs / BEME and assess quotations against technical and commercial requirements.\nGood understanding of procurement processes, supplier coordination, quotation analysis, and purchase order follow-up.\nHND, B.Sc., or B.Eng. in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain/Procurement, or a related technical discipline with 3 -
