The role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, programming languages, and quality control standards.\nResponsibility:\nDevelop and modify CNC programs using G-code, CAD/CAM software or nesting software. \nAnalyze blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to create precise programs. \nSet up CNC machines, including installing tools, fixtures, and workpieces. \nEnsure machines are calibrated and adjusted for optimal performance. \nPerform regular inspections of parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers). \nMonitor machine and cutting processes to maintain quality standards, troubleshoot any issues, and document and report any discrepancies or defects in production. \nProgram CNC machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting up tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches. \nUploading and downloading programs to the CNC and editing programs. \nConduct routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment, assist in troubleshooting and resolving machine malfunctions. \nWork in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, Company rules, policies, and procedures. \nAcademic/Educational Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nTechnical degree or certification in machining or CNC programming preferred \nRequired Skills/Experience:\nProven experience as a CNC Programmer/Operator or similar role. \nProficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code) and nesting software. \nStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. \nAttention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. \nIntermediate math skills (understanding x, y, and z coordinates, ability to convert fractions to decimals, basic trigonometry). \nUnderstands standard tooling concepts, tooling speeds, feeds, and tool life. \nAbility to operate forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided). \nAbility to interpret drawings to generate programs that provide the part dimensions desired. \nWhat Linamar Has to Offer:\nCompetitive Compensation\nEmployee Benefits package includes but not limited to, Drug, Dental & Vision etc.\nOpportunities for career advancement.\nSustainability Council\nCommunity based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities.\nDiscounts for local vendors and events, including auto supplier discounts.\nAbout Us:\nAt Salford Group, a Linamar Company, we are industry leaders in agricultural equipment innovation, committed to advancing farming practices through precision technology.
