This role ensures CNC equipment operates efficiently, safely, and within quality standards, while providing technical expertise to operators and leadership.\nResponsibility\nVerifies that fixture setup meets acceptable quality standards regarding milling and boring sizes, depths, angles, or other specifications\n\nMounts, aligns, and secures tooling, attachments, and workpieces on machines.\n\nAssembles cutting tools in toolholders and positions toolholders in machine magazines.\n\nConducts prove-outs and selects correct programming during setups and changeover as needed.\n\nStarts machine and monitors displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions.\n\nStops machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts to conformance to blueprint specifications\n\nDiscuss errors with supervisors or programming personnel to resolve problems\n\nPerforms machine maintenance.\n\nAbility to lead one or more operators in machining cell on two or more product lines.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nAcademic/Educational Requirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent. \nTechnical degree or certification in machining or CNC programming preferred.\nRequired Skills/Experience\nProven experience as a CNC Programmer/Operator or similar role \nProficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code) and nesting software \nAbility to operate forklift and overhead crane (training will be provided) \nAbility to interpret drawings to generate programs that provide the part dimensions desired. \nBasic knowledge of hydraulic, lubrication and mechanical equipment. \nProficient understanding of CMM reports, gage readings, and able to use CMM reports and gages. \nAbility to interpret drawings to generate programs that provide the part dimensions desired. \nThree years of experience in a CNC Environment. \nWhat Linamar Has to Offer\nCompetitive Compensation\nEmployee Benefits package includes but not limited to, Drug, Dental & Vision etc. \nOpportunities for career advancement.\nSustainability Council\nCommunity based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities. \nDiscounts for local vendors and events, including auto supplier discounts.\nAbout Us\nLinamar Corporation is a Canadian-founded global manufacturer, renowned for its advanced engineering and innovative product development across diverse industries and markets.
