This role requires analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong leadership skills to support the company's financial and strategic goals while maintaining accurate financial reports. This role reports to Lincoln’s Global Controller with a dotted line to the local India business leader\nKey Responsibilities\nAccounting Operations ManagementManage daily accounting functions including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.\nMonitor accounting activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.\nDevelop and implement accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.\nEnsure proper documentation of accounting transactions and maintain organized financial records.\nReview and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly closing processes.\n\nFinancial ReportingLead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with India GAAP and US GAAP.\nAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.\nProvide detailed financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.\nOversee the financial consolidation of India legal entities.\n\nTax Compliance and Regulatory OversightOversee the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual statutory and tax filings.\nCoordinate with external tax advisor(s) and global tax to ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.\nActively monitor cash across the India legal entities to ensure regulatory compliance.\nEnsure compliance with all applicable laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.\nImplement and monitor internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, and financial risks.\nMonitor for changes in accounting standards and industry regulations to ensure compliance.\n\nAudit CoordinationServe as the primary point of contact for external auditors during annual audits.\nLead team in preparation of audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to auditors.\nEnsure timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.\n\nLeadership and Team DevelopmentBuild, manage, mentor, and develop team to enhance performance and professional growth.\nConduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.\nEnsure staff is trained on new accounting standards, tools, and best practices.\nFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.\n\nBudgeting and Financial PlanningCollaborate with the finance team to develop and manage the annual budget.\nTrack actual performance against budgeted goals and report variances.\nSupport strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights and analysis.\nAssist in forecasting future financial trends and preparing cash flow projections.\n\nStrategic CollaborationPartner with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance.\nParticipate in cross-functional meetings to align accounting practices with organizational goals.\nSupport business expansion efforts, mergers, or acquisitions with financial analysis and due diligence.\n\nQualifications:\nEducation and CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting required\nCA (Chartered Accountant) required\n\nExperienceMinimum 10-15 years of increasing accounting experience, with 3-5 years in a managerial / supervisory role.\nExperience with financial reporting, multi-entity consolidations, and compliance with India GAAP and U.S. GAAP\nFamiliarity with financial reporting, external audit processes, and internal controls.\n\nTechnical SkillsSolid proficiency in accounting software (ie: NetSuite, Blackline, Stampli, LeaseQuery, Workiva and Concur).\nExpertise in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling).\n\nSoft SkillsStrong leadership and team management abilities.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present financial data to non-financial users\nExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAnalytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n\nWork EnvironmentComply with company policy regarding in-office working hours\nFast-paced environment requiring adaptability and attention to detail.\n\nSummaryThis role is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with a strong background in financial management and leadership.
