We endeavour to create an adoption experience that is individually tailored to the needs of children in our care, enabling them to express their characters, feelsafe and enrich their lives.\nAs the Practice Supervisor you’ll will lead a small team of Social Workers, Family Help workers and Childand Family Officers who specialise in offering supportto adoptive families, and those who hold a Special Guardianship Order or Childarrangement order.\nYou will work within the wider team of children’s social worker and supervising social worker that together form the Adoption service for Lincolnshire, working togetherto develop the whole service to ensure we are meeting the needs of our adoptive families, children and birth relatives. There is a lot of opportunity for personal development and growth in this ever changing area of complex social work.\nThis is an exciting and diverse role that allows creativity and the development of our services to families. The post holder will have oversight of the council’s use of the Adoption and Special Guardianship supportfund, which provides tailored therapeutic supportto adopted children and those who are cared for under Special Guardianship or ChildArrangement orders.\nThe role also includes the development and review of local, regional and pan regional innovations, including peer support and voice and influence of those with lived experience of adoption and kinshipcare.
