During the summer, interns will be paired with a mentor, attend professional career development workshops/sessions and attend networking events to meet additional team members. If you’re driven by innovation, inspired by quality, and eager to grow in a collaborative environment, this is the place for you.\nBased at Lindt USA headquarters in Stratham, New Hampshire, interns and co-ops are expected to work onsite four to five days per week, depending on the role.\nPosition Purpose:\nThe Planning Intern will analyze datasets across Lindt USA’s supply chain to develop data-driven processes that optimize inventory levels. This role will help develop a Material Planning tool driving safety stock recommendations that balance inventory investment with service requirements, reducing excess stock while maintaining supply continuity.\nEssential Job Functions & Responsibilities:\nData Analysis & Inventory Optimization\nAnalyze demand, supply, inventory, and material planning datasets to identify opportunities to reduce excess stock and improve material availability. \nEvaluate demand variability, supplier lead times, and planning parameters to recommend appropriate safety stock levels. \nValidate master data and identify gaps that affect inventory calculations and planning decisions.\nPlanning Tool & Process Development\nDevelop and test a Material Planning tool that generates data-driven safety stock recommendations aligned with service requirements and inventory targets.\nEstablish a repeatable process for reviewing safety stock and adjusting recommendations as business conditions change.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to validate assumptions and support implementation of approved improvements.\nPerformance Tracking & Insights\nBuild dashboards to track inventory levels, safety stock alignment, excess inventory, and service performance.\nPresent actionable recommendations and quantify potential inventory reductions, service impacts, and process efficiencies.\nDocument tool functionality and review procedures to enable ongoing use by the planning team.\nQualifications & Requirements:\nExperience:\nPrior internship and/or project focused process and results oriented positions.\nDemonstrated proficiency with a computer and with MS software.\nSkills & Knowledge:\nStrong Interpersonal skills to collaborate between multiple cross functional teams and levels.\nStrong Project Management skills. \nExperience with supply chain tools and software a plus (SAP & Microsoft Applications).\nEducation:\nBe a Sophomore, Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited University Degree Program - Preferably with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain.\nOther Requirements:\nTotal Rewards:\nCompensation: $20 an hour\nOur Perks & Amenities:\nSummer Hours - leave at 3pm on Fridays.\nFully equipped, on-site Fitness center & Locker rooms.\nFull-service Cafeteria.\nFree Chocolate!\nApplicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
