This role is ideal for someone passionate about maintain, improving, and optimising automated systems while fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams.\nWe are looking for someone to work remotely in the Benelux region; regular travel will be required across our Benelux and UK sites.\nAs an Maintenance & Automation Engineer, you will be the key point of accountability for ensuring our automation systems continue to run smoothly and efficiently after implementation. Your role will focus on auditing and supporting the site Maintenance Programme, identifying and addressing any issues proactively to minimize downtime.\nWorking closely with local site teams, audit the sites maintenance activities, you will troubleshoot system faults, uphold high safety standards, and drive continuous improvement. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining system integrity, resolving technical issues, and ensuring long-term operational reliability.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nMaintain, update, and develop work instructions for system maintenance and repairs\nPerform periodic audits and assessments to ensure compliance with operational, maintenance, and IT infrastructure standards\nEnsure automation systems meet world class safety, food safety, and regulatory standards, prioritising employee health and well-being\nMonitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for system uptime and productivity\nConduct regular meetings with local site teams to assess system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective maintenance\nEvaluate preventative and predictive maintenance programs to optimize equipment servicing and spare parts inventory management\nProvide expert advice and solutions to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency across automation systems\nSupport teams with electromechanical troubleshooting and vendor coordination\nAssist in the training and development of operational staff and maintenance teams to maximize system efficiency\nCollaborate with regional and site level operations to ensure the sustainability of automation solutions\nProvide on-site support as needed for preventive and corrective maintenance\nWhat we are looking for:\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience\nProven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting automated or electromechanical systems\nExperience in auditing/assessing\nProven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality standards\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams\nExperience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), and PLC controls\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)\nAbility to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments\nCommitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace\nWillingness to work flexible hours to meet time-sensitive project deadlines\nAbility to travel 50% of the time or based on business needs\nProficiency in both written and spoken English is essential\nProficiency in both written and spoken Dutch is desirable\nWe are a global company which is expanding quickly across Europe; and you will grow with us; you will feel the impact of your work as the ‘tip of the spear’, playing a critical role in realising our purpose of transforming the supply-chain to eliminate waste and help feed the world.\nTo support our growth, our leadership culture focuses us on developing talent internally and this is a great opportunity to nurture your career in a leading global company.\nLineage is an equal opportunity employer.
