  • Lead audit readiness and support internal, external, customer and regulatory audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, internal teams and external partners, understanding their requirements and ensuring these are delivered.
  • Support new customer onboarding and help identify opportunities to improve service and grow the business.
  • Manage labour planning and productivity, balancing permanent employees, agency resource and overtime to meet operational and budget requirements.
  • Monitor operational costs, including equipment, repairs, damages and customer charges, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency.
  • Lead, develop and engage the operational team through clear objectives, regular performance conversations, coaching and development.
  • Support recruitment, performance management, absence management and other people-related processes.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, challenging the status quo and identifying opportunities to improve processes, productivity and cost efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively across the wider Lineage network to ensure clear communication and effective coordination between sites and functions.
  • Take an active role in site meetings, engagement initiatives, improvement projects and customer-related activities.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a confident and people-focused operational leader who can balance customer service, safety, people, performance and commercial priorities.

You will ideally have:

  • Several years' experience in an operational or supervisory leadership role, ideally within logistics, warehousing, cold chain or a similar environment.
  • Experience leading and coordinating operational teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A customer-focused and commercially aware approach.
  • The ability to analyse operational data, identify trends and make informed decisions.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work independently, take ownership and use your initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
  • The flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a changing, growth-oriented environment.
  • A qualification or academic background in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline would be valuable.

We are a global company which is expanding quickly across Europe; and you will grow with us; you will feel the impact of your work as the ‘tip of the spear’ playing a critical role in realising our purpose of transforming the supply chain to eliminate waste and help feed the world.
