This individual contributor executes the monthly lease cycle (abstraction, journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosure support) with a high level of accountability for accuracy, documentation, and deadlines. The role works independently within established procedures and escalates complex judgments to senior team members and the Manager.Essential Duties & Responsibilities\nLease Abstraction & Administration\nIdentify new, modified, and terminated leases from monthly inquiries and apply Lineage’s materiality thresholds.\nAbstract qualifying leases and modifications into the lease subledger (LeaseController, transitioning to MRI), with key terms referenced to the source contract.\nVerify lease classification and initial ROU asset calculations against system output; maintain the lease tracker and supporting documentation.\nProcess modifications and remeasurement events and support mass-import abstractions.\nMonth-End Close & Journal Entries\nComplete the monthly close review and apply Workday FX rates.\nConvert LeaseController journal entries to Workday accounts and prepare regional files (US, Canada, Europe, and Asia Pacific).\nLoad entries through Workday EIB, resolve import errors, and route entries through the approval workflow.\nReconciliations & Account Certification\nPrepare holding cash and balance sheet roll-forward reconciliations and investigate variances above threshold, documenting root cause.\nSupport capital lease payment reconciliations for Europe and the UK and communicate differences to local teams.\nPrepare Blackline account certifications with complete supporting documentation.\nFinancial Reporting & Audit Support\nSupport quantitative ASC 842 disclosures for the 10-Q and 10-K and the quarterly lease completeness memo.\nPrepare variance commentary and assist with budget and forecast updates for lease activity.\nProvide documentation and explanations to internal and external auditors.\nCollaboration & Process Improvement\nPartner with AP, Real Estate, Transportation, Procurement, Treasury, Technical Accounting, and regional finance teams to resolve discrepancies.\nSupport lease system implementation work, including data validation and remediation, and help maintain desk procedures.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nAccurate, complete work supported by documentation a reviewer can follow without further explanation.\nEnd-to-end ownership of assignments, delivered on the close calendar, with risks raised early.\nTimely, clear, and professional communication in writing and in conversation.\nIndependent navigation of systems, with feedback incorporated so errors are not repeated.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting.\n1-3 years of public, corporate, or lease accounting experience.\nWorking knowledge of US GAAP and strong Excel skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication and strong attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, month-end close environment.\nPreferred\nCPA license (CPA candidates considered).\nPublic accounting audit experience.\nFamiliarity with ASC 842, Workday, and lease software such as LeaseController or MRI.\nExperience in a global, multi-currency environment.\nThe Ideal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate is a thorough, self-directed accountant who takes ownership of their work and communicates well at every level of the organization. Audit experience and a CPA are a strong fit because the role rewards documentation discipline, professional skepticism, and comfort working within internal controls.
