We support customers who supply schools, restaurants, and many of the UK’s leading retailers by ensuring a consistent and safe food supply.\nWe are currently seeking a MHE Instructor - Floor Trainer to support our operational training and compliance team at our Belle Eau Park depot in Bilsthorpe Nottinghamshire.\nShift Available: Sunday - Thursday 16:00-00:00 (shift pattern flexibility is a must for this role because we are a 24/7 operation).\nRate of Pay: £16.20 per hour, plus a shift allowance of £55.00 per week.\nThe role:\nIn this role you will:\nSupport and assist the Training Coordinator to ensure all employees receive the required training for their roles, complete with up-to-date materials and in alignment with organisational and regulatory standards.\nDeliver training sessions across key areas including Health & Safety (HS), Food Safety (FS), Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), Manual Handling, and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).\nMonitor on-the-floor employee performance, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and role-specific responsibilities, and provide proactive coaching to promote a safety-first culture.\nContinuously review and update role-specific HS procedures and working practices to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.\nMaintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels to ensure training remains relevant, practical, and aligned with daily tasks.\nIdentify and escalate training needs and continuous improvement opportunities, supporting the development and roll-out of new training initiatives.\nManage and maintain the site training matrix, ensuring all training records are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with company and legal requirements.\nAssist the management team with post-incident and near-miss investigations from a training perspective, helping to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.\nWhat we are looking for:\nExperience delivering workplace training in a logistics or warehousing environment, with a good understanding of operational processes and safety compliance.\nWorking knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.\nExcellent time management skills with a structured approach to planning, delivering, and evaluating training.\nConfident communicator with the ability to engage and motivate learners at all levels of the organisation.\nA proactive approach to mentoring and ‘buddying’ new team members, ensuring safe integration and a strong understanding of Lineage values and safety principles.\nA flexible mindset, with the willingness to work across different UK sites if required.\n Relevant certifications preferred, including Achievement in Education and Training (AET) Level 3 (or equivalent), RTITB or AITT-accredited MHE Instructor (Category 1 or above), Manual Handling Instructor, and IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification; however, training can be provided for the right candidate.\nWhat's in it for me?\nA permanent opportunity with a direct employer; we will not employ you through an agency.\nOpportunity to develop a career within an industry leading global company.\nOpportunity to earn an extra day of annual leave each year up to the maximum of one extra week for length of service.\nFree onsite car park\nSupport your emotional well-being with access to a 24/7 employee assistance phone line offering confidential free counselling and advice.\nWeekly pay.\nPreferential rates for loans and savings offered through exclusive access to a credit union.\nReference: INDUK\nWhy Lineage?\nWe are a global company with more than 22,000 employees spanning 20 countries and more than 400 locations across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and South America.\nAt Lineage Logistics, we have a shared purpose; we are transforming the food supply chain to eliminate waste and help feed the world.
