This team is responsible for the development, scaling, and maintenance of our core platform, which serves as the backbone for our product offerings.\nYou’ll work on backend technologies, designing and implementing features that drive our platform’s growth, stability, performance and intelligence.\nIn this role, you will also help drive the integration of modern AI capabilities into our platform, including working with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-driven workflows, and emerging paradigms such as Model Context Protocol (MCP).\nIf you are passionate about building scalable, high-performance systems, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and excited about applying AI in real-world products, we would love to hear from you!\nKey Responsibilities\nLead, design and build highly scalable and high-quality web applications by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes\nWork with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar frameworks to enable structured interactions between systems and AI models\nRaise the bar on engineering excellence by improving standard methodologies, producing best in class of code, documentation, testing, and monitoring\nIdentifying and resolving technical issues and performance bottlenecks.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (including Product managers, DevOps, and Support) to ensure smooth feature releases and platform stability\nStay up to date with emerging technologies in backend engineering and AI/LLM ecosystems, and drive their adoption where relevant.\nQualifications\n7+ years as a Backend Developer with strong experience in Node.js, Python, and TypeScript\nStrong system design skills and experience building scalable, distributed systems (microservices, event-driven architectures)\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent\nOutstanding interpersonal skills\nProven experience designing and building robust RESTful APIs\nSolid understanding of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and performance optimization\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Docker, and Kubernetes\nExperience in building scalable and resilient systems using microservices, with expertise in service decomposition, communication patterns (e.g., REST, event-driven), and managing inter-service dependencies\nExperience building or integrating AI-powered product features\nIndependent, autodidact with excellent problem-solving and a passion for learning cutting-edge technologies\nAdvantage\nPrevious experience in a fast-paced startup, ideally within a SaaS company, and familiarity with the unique challenges of scaling a product.\nExperience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar agent/tooling frameworks\nExperience working on infrastructure or core platform teams\nLinearB Values:\nPut the Customer First\nTake Ownership\nOne Team\nShow Product Expertise\nBe Data Driven\nReach for the Next Level\nListen Curiously & Speak Courageously\nLinearB is an equal opportunity employer.
