take ownership of implementatio\nNice-to-have qualifications\nExperience with Java 25+\nExperience developing and optimizing high-performance search systems\nHands-on experience with full-text search, vector search, or semantic search technologies\nProduction experience with Vespa, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Weaviate, Pinecone, Milvus, Qdrant, or similar platforms\nExperience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions\nFamiliarity with AI/ML infrastructure and pipelines, including integrating machine learning models into production services\nExperience with embeddings, ranking, indexing, recommendation systems, and AI-powered services\nKnowledge of cloud platforms and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)\nExperience with observability, monitoring, and performance analysis tools\nPrevious experience in Staff, Principal, or Architect-level engineering positions\nWorking hours\nCandidates must be available to overlap with the New York team from 9:00
