You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the electrical infrastructure works from utility interface and detailed design coordination through installation, energisation and operational handover. This role requires strong leadership, technical electrical expertise and the ability to coordinate multiple contractors and stakeholders within a mission-critical environment.\nThe Opportunity\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead planning, execution and completion of the substation project including grid connection, transformers, switchgear and associated infrastructure\nManage the interface between utility provider, client, designers and construction contractors\nOversee installation of HV and MV equipment including GIS/AIS switchgear, transformers, protection systems, earthing and cable routes\nCoordinate energisation strategy, outage planning and safe switching procedures\nDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets and risk registers\nEnsure compliance with electrical standards, statutory regulations and permit requirements\nManage subcontractors and specialist vendors ensuring quality and safety standards are achieved\nLead commissioning activities including testing, protection settings verification and energisation readiness\nProvide regular progress updates and technical reporting to senior stakeholders\nCoordinate with wider campus construction teams to align power availability with data centre programme milestones\nSupport change management, commercial reviews and technical decision making\nEnsure complete documentation and handover including as-built drawings, commissioning records and operational procedures\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives, utilities and delivery partners\nRequirements:\nDegree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline\nMinimum 10+ years’ experience delivering electrical infrastructure or substation projects\nStrong understanding of high-voltage systems, protection, earthing and commissioning processes\nExperience working with utility providers and grid connection processes\nData centre, industrial power or utility infrastructure project experience preferred\nStrong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills\nFamiliarity with construction contracts such as FIDIC, NEC or similar\nAbility to manage complex technical interfaces and resolve project conflicts\nProficient in project management and reporting tools\nProfessional certification (PMP or equivalent) desirable\nAll interviews are conducted either in person or virtually with video required\nAbout us\nLinesight is a highly successful global project and cost management consultancy that keeps clients coming back.
