You will cooperate with security, compliance, data protection, application, and business teams to ensure that security requirements remain effective without unnecessarily disrupting business operations.\nWhat You’ll Do\nInvestigate alerts related to potentially unauthorized or suspicious handling of sensitive information.\nAnalyze data transfers across email, endpoints, cloud applications, collaboration platforms, and removable media.\nAssess incidents based on severity, scope, business impact, and potential security or compliance risk.\nVerify suspected policy violations and identify false positives.\nEscalate confirmed security incidents and support remediation activities.\nDocument investigation findings, root causes, decisions, and corrective actions.\nReview business requests requiring exceptions from existing data protection controls.\nAssess business justification and associated security and compliance risks.\nCoordinate exception approvals with relevant security, privacy, compliance, and business stakeholders.\nEnsure approved exceptions are documented, time-limited, monitored, and periodically reviewed.\nRecommend compensating controls where exceptions introduce additional risk.\nSupport the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of DLP policies.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce false positives and improve detection effectiveness.\nSupport audits by providing evidence related to incidents, exceptions, and implemented controls.\nContribute to security awareness and continuous improvement initiatives related to information protection.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nmin.4 years of experience in Security Operations, Cybersecurity Operations, SOC, or a role focused on data protection.\nExperience investigating cybersecurity alerts and incidents.\nGood understanding of Data Loss Prevention concepts and information protection controls.\nKnowledge of data classification, information labeling, and data protection principles.\nUnderstanding of incident management and risk assessment processes.\nFamiliarity with GDPR, privacy requirements, and Insider Risk Management.\nAbility to work with both technical and business stakeholders.\nStrong analytical and investigative skills.\nGood documentation and organizational skills.\nAbility to manage multiple cases and priorities in a dynamic environment.\nTechnologies & Security Areas\nHands-on experience with DLP solutions such as:\nMicrosoft Purview DLP\nProofpoint DLP\nKnowledge of areas including:\nData Loss Prevention\nData classification and labeling\nInsider Risk Management\nSecurity monitoring\nIncident response\nPrivacy and data protection regulations\nA degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field would be an advantage.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3131,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Incident Response","Data Loss Prevention","IT Outsourcing & Dedicated Teams","Managed IT Services (MSP)"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-18T11:19:43Z"}],"liveness":{"score":87,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.875,"p_room":1,"age_days":12,"expected_fill_days":51,"reasons":["conf:3","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/link-group-soc-analyst","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/link-group-soc-analyst.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-02T02:16:33Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":2984,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":2016,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-03T00:00:00Z"}}}
