Reporting to the Category Manager - IT &Systems, you'll play a key role in delivering procurement activity across a broad portfolio of technology-related spend, including hardware, software, cloud services and IT-related contracts.\nThis is an opportunity to make a real commercial impact, supporting the delivery of category strategies and leading sourcing activities from business requirement through to tendering, negotiation, contract award and ongoing supplier management.\nYou'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure procurement activity delivers value for money, strong commercial outcomes and fit-for-purpose contracts, whilst maintaining the governance and controls required across CrossCountry.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nManaging end-to-end procurement activities across IT and Systems categories, from requirements gathering through to contract award and implementation.\nSupporting the Category Manager in delivering category strategies and procurement plans aligned to business objectives.\nLeading tender exercises and sourcing events in accordance with company procurement policies and relevant procurement regulations.\nPreparing tender documentation, evaluation methodologies, commercial assessments and recommendation reports.\nConducting supplier negotiations to achieve value for money, improved service levels and commercial benefits.\nBuilding effective relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify appropriate sourcing solutions.\nSupporting contract lifecycle management activities, including renewals, variations and supplier performance reviews.\nMonitoring supplier performance against agreed service levels and key performance indicators, escalating issues where appropriate.\nIdentifying opportunities for cost savings, process improvements and supplier rationalisation.\nUndertaking spend analysis, market research and benchmarking exercises to support sourcing strategies and commercial decisions.\nProducing management reports, procurement updates and savings reports for key stakeholders.\nSupporting procurement governance requirements and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.\nCollaborating with Procurement colleagues on cross-functional and business-wide procurement initiatives.\nSupporting continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes, systems and tools.\n\nAbout You\nYou’ll thrive in this role if you bring:\nA minimum of 3-5 years procurement experience managing sourcing activities across the full procurement lifecycle.\nExperience leading tender exercises and supplier negotiations.\nExperience procuring technology-related goods and services, including software, hardware, cloud services and professional services.\nStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.\nExcellent communication, presentation and report-writing skills.\nStrong commercial awareness and analytical capability.\nExperience conducting spend analysis and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation.\nStrong supplier management and contract management experience.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using Office 365 applications.\nExperience working with procurement and purchase-to-pay systems.\nExcellent organisational skills and attention to detail.\nThe ability to prioritise multiple projects and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.\nDegree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.\nCIPS qualification or active progress towards MCIPS desirable.\nKnowledge of the Procurement Act 2023, public procurement regulations, or regulated procurement environments would be advantageous.\nMost importantly, you’ll be someone who learns quickly, works well as part of a team, is comfortable asking questions and is committed to delivering high-quality commercial outcomes.\nWhy join us?\nThis is more than a role focused on running tenders.
