The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.\nThis role will be based in Mountain View, CA.\nThe Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering (EIE) team builds and operates the Compute, Storage, Network, and Public Cloud infrastructure that powers LinkedIn’s enterprise platforms and services. The team delivers reliable, secure, and cost-efficient foundations across offices, data centers, and Azure, enabling critical business systems and modern CI/CD platforms for internal applications.\nWe are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to own strategy, execution, and outcomes for LinkedIn’s enterprise infrastructure. This leader will be responsible for the end-to-end portfolio across network (Wi-Fi, VPN, global sites), compute and storage (Windows/Linux Servers and Endpoints, data services, identity), and Azure tenants/regions, including CI/CD platforms supporting internal applications like LangSmith, AI integrations, and enterprise data pipelines.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nDefine and drive a multi-year technical infrastructure vision across network, compute, storage, and Azure, balancing reliability, security, velocity, and cost efficiency.\n\nOwn service reliability for global network, routing, firewall telemetry, and identity/access pathways\n\nDrive AI transformation and automation for Infra, developer velocity, and operations\n\nPartner with InfoSec to harden posture (e.g., device identity, AAA, policy enforcement), complete rollouts with high compliance across global interfaces.\n\nLead Azure governance for tenants, subscriptions, and shared services; scale visibility dashboards, cost guardrails, and remediation workflows in partnership with platform teams.\n\nDrive Zero Trust initiatives to modernize remote and enterprise access; coordinate cross-functional execution spanning network architecture, client upgrades, and policy refactoring.\n\nOversee Infra migrations with predictable delivery and minimal user impact\n\nProvide direction for internal CI/CD platforms that serve enterprise applications (e.g., integrations for agent workflows, data pipelines) to improve developer velocity and operational rigor.\n\nHelp lead the strategy and end-to-end delivery of corporate endpoint platforms and global VD to provide scalable device management and engineering escalation.\n\nScale org effectiveness across distributed teams; ensure strong on-call, runbooks, and incident leadership practices.\n\nManage multi-vendor ecosystems, negotiate contracts, and align investments to business outcomes and platform roadmaps.\n\nEstablish annual goals/OKRs and measurable outcomes tied to platform health, compliance, and TCO (e.g., availability, MTTR, capacity, cost per workload).\n\nHire, coach, and grow a diverse leadership bench (Sr. Managers, Managers, Staff+ ICs); foster a culture of clarity, accountability, craftsmanship, and bias for action.\n\n Basic Qualifications:\nBA./B.S. Degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n\n12+ years of experience in infrastructure/software engineering with 8+ years of people management experience.\n\nExperience in areas such as global network, compute, storage, and public cloud (Azure) portfolios in enterprise environments.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDemonstrated outcomes in Infra reliability engineering, security and compliance programs, and cost optimization across complex ecosystems.\n\nDeep expertise in Network architecture, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), firewall telemetry, and distributed logging pipelines.\n\nHands-on leadership across Azure governance (tenants, subscriptions, policy), platform observability, and FinOps practices.\n\nStrong experience in CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and enterprise developer platforms supporting internal applications.\n\nTrack record of managing multi-vendor environments and large capital/operating budgets tied to business outcomes.\n\nExceptional stakeholder management with executive communication and data-driven decision-making.\n\nAbility to clearly communicate with all levels of the organization and across functions, and translate strategy to execution.\n\nStrong analytical and communication skills with the ability to influence and work effectively across organization boundaries.\n\nAbility to maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments.\n\nAbility to innovate and scale ideas/processes to large teams.\n\nExperience managing complex software teams.\n\nSuggested Skills:\nInfrastructure Engineering\n\nLeadership\n\nAzure Cloud\n\nStorage\n\nNetworks\n\nYou will Benefit from our Culture:\nWe strongly believe in the well-being of our employees and their families. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
