As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture, design, and extensibility of our ServiceNow platform that empowers LinkedIn’s enterprise operations across IT Operations, HR, Finance, and Workplace systems. You will directly impact the day-to-day experience of LinkedIn’s 17,500+ employees and contingent workforce. The work location of this role is Bangalore.\nResponsibilities\nMaintain accountability for the integrity of code design, implementation, quality, data, and ongoing maintenance and operations; create technical specifications and write high-quality, supportable, scalable code ensuring quality KPIs are met.\n\nDesign, develop, and optimize complex ServiceNow solutions leveraging modern platform capabilities, best practices, and extensibility frameworks.\n\nArchitect and govern CMDB and Asset Management solutions, ensuring data quality, normalization, reconciliation, lifecycle integrity, and operational reliability.\n\nAct as a technical authority across SAM (HAM/SAM Pro), ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, Health), SPM, and enterprise analytics and reporting.\n\nDesign scalable CMDB models that support ITOM visibility, asset lifecycles, compliance, reporting, and integration with downstream systems.\n\nBuild and optimize Platform Analytics, Performance Analytics, and executive-level dashboards to drive data-informed decision-making.\n\nDefine technical patterns, guardrails, and reference architectures aligned with platform strategy and long-term sustainment.\n\nPartner with Product Management, Business Stakeholders, Information Security, and Operations to translate strategic goals into robust technical solutions.\n\nMentor engineers and provide architectural guidance through design reviews, code reviews, and technical coaching.\n\nLead complex troubleshooting efforts, including CMDB health issues, discovery failures, integration bottlenecks, and performance degradation.\n\nProduce audit-ready technical documentation, including solution designs, data models, and architectural diagrams.\n\n Basic Qualifications\nBA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n\n10+ years of experience in software design and development, including algorithmic problem solving.\n\nExperience with data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.\n\nHands-on experience with ServiceNow HR/TSM modules, including Service Catalogs, Record Producers, Portal, Workflows, and Orchestration.\n\nHands-on experience with CMDB architecture, discovery, normalization, reconciliation rules, and CI lifecycle management.\n\nExperience with asset lifecycles, license compliance, software normalization, and hardware asset governance.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Master Architect (CMA).\n\nBS and 8+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 7+ years, or PhD and 4+ years.\n\nExperience in platform governance, upgrade strategies, and technical debt management.\n\nSuggested Skills\nServiceNow CMDB architecture and governance.\n\nITOM Discovery and Service Mapping.\n\nPerformance Analytics and executive dashboarding.\n\nAsset and license compliance management.\n\nData modeling and integration design on ServiceNow.\n\n India Disability Policy\nLinkedIn is an equal employment opportunity employer offering opportunities to all job seekers, including individuals with disabilities.
