Working closely with stakeholders across the business and the wider Finance network, you will drive operational excellence, champion process optimisation, and lead a diverse team, fostering a collaborative culture that supports innovation, continuous improvement and exceptional client service.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the firm’s global Revenue Lifecycle Management process and programme, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives, financial priorities and global regulatory requirements.

  • Drive the continuous improvement, standardisation and optimisation of end-to-end revenue lifecycle processes, from matter inception through billing, revenue recognition and cash collection, enhancing efficiency, control and client experience.

  • Partner with the CFO, Finance Leadership Team and senior business stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives that improve financial performance, strengthen governance and support firmwide transformation.

  • Lead the global billing and e-billing functions, establishing consistent standards, overseeing operational performance, and working closely with Technology, Compliance and client teams to support system enhancements and service excellence.

  • Act as the firm’s subject matter expert for billing, revenue recognition and revenue-related policies, ensuring processes remain fit for purpose, compliant and aligned to evolving business needs.

  • Develop and maintain robust revenue controls, performance metrics and service standards, proactively identifying and mitigating revenue leakage, operational risks and opportunities for improvement.

  • Foster strong relationships with partners, practice groups, Finance Centres of Excellence, global revenue teams and shared service functions to drive billing discipline, working capital performance and adherence to best practice.

  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing global team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning and innovation, while driving the adoption of automation, AI and digital solutions across revenue operations.

What we’re looking for:

  • Significant experience leading global billing or revenue operations within a professional services environment, ideally within the legal sector, with a proven track record of driving revenue optimisation, operational excellence and large-scale transformation initiatives.

  • Strong expertise in billing, e-billing and client financial operations, with a detailed understanding of revenue lifecycle processes, financial controls and associated technologies.

  • An accomplished people leader with experience managing and developing high-performing, geographically dispersed or multi-disciplinary teams, fostering engagement, accountability and continuous development.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to translate complex data and business challenges into practical, commercially focused solutions.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to build consensus, challenge constructively and communicate effectively with senior leaders, partners and cross-functional teams.
