Collaborating closely with the Finance Billing Center of Excellence (CoE), our team covers matter opening, billing process, credit control, process transition, and reporting for a range of client matters.\nThe Revenue Controller at Linklaters is responsible for the comprehensive management of financial processes related to legal service billing and receivables management. This position covers two main functional areas: Billing (preparation and control of invoices) and Credit Control (managing receivables).This position supports our offices in Germany and reports to Revenue Team Leader, based in Warsaw.\nAs Revenue Controller you will be responsible for:\nMatter (client) opening\nReview new matter forms and complete or correct key data (e.g. VAT number, address, billing rates)\nAdminister billing terms and establish billing flows for each new client/matter\nAssist Matter Managers and Management Assistants in setting up matter structures, including new office segments\nSupport the closure of matters\nBilling process\nProcess transfers of time lines and \"Other Services\" costs/expenses Produce draft bills, finalize after approval, and upload invoices to client billing portals\nEnsure e-billing compliance, such as verifying narratives, billing periods, and required references; address rejections where necessary\nSupport the collection of accepted billing targets when required\nCredit control process\nPrepare for and run invoice reminder procedures, including checking block reminders and updating the reminder template\nSend reminders via email and manage the Credit Control mailbox, responding to client queries\nUpdate and maintain accurate contact information for reminders\nReporting\nUtilize the DTR (Desktop Reporting) tool to create narrative and billing status reports\nProvide detailed overviews of pending draft bills, including reasons for delay and estimated billing dates\nQuality control and compliance\nEnsure all assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met to customer standards\nPerform quality control checks to maintain work consistency and accuracy\nOrganize and maintain electronic filing systems\nEnsure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and Solicitors Accounting Rules\nCollaboration and process improvement\nWork closely with the Finance Billing CoE and regularly review processes with clients and stakeholders\nParticipate in process improvement initiatives\nEscalate relevant issues and risks to the Revenue Team Leader and Revenue Manager\nApply if you:\nHave 2 to 4 years of professional experience in billing & credit control, AR / Order-to-Cash processes\nShow excellent written & spoken German & English, with strong communication and networking skills,\nBring technical, numeric, and analytical expertise - Excel has no secrets from you,\nDemonstrate strong competency in data entry, data management, and Microsoft Office tools,\nAre quality-oriented, organized, and attentive to detail,\nAre customer-focused and comfortable working under pressure,\nHave knowledge of SAP or any other ERP system,\nPossess a finance and accounting degree as an asset,\nLinklaters and the Team\nLinklaters are a people business.
