This is a role for a strategic finance professional who wants to own the numbers and shape the decisions.\nThis is a step up for someone with a corporate finance or strategic FP&A background who wants broader ownership. You'll own Linkly's FP&A and financial modelling and manage forecasting and planning. You'll also lead the accounting function: you'll manage and develop our Accountant, and oversee and support month-end and the year-end audit.\nWhat makes the role different is the strategic lens. You won't just report the numbers. You'll use them to shape pricing, M&A, market assessment and planning. You'll present insight to the executive team and build the PowerPoint materials that go to our PE-backed Board. As the accounting function matures, the role moves further into finance transformation and strategic projects, including building AI into how the finance team works.\nBased in Sydney, you'll work closely with the CFO, the Head of Strategy and the Accountant, and partner with the Commercial team on pricing and revenue forecasting.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial modelling & analysis\nOwn Linkly'sfinancial models for forecasting, pricing and planning, making sure they're structured, documented, version-controlled and ready for review.\nAnalyse performance by segment and explain trends, drivers and variances.\nFlag risks, cost-out opportunities and performance gaps early.\nAccounting operations & team leadership\nManage and develop the Accountant, building their capability and independence.\nOversee accounting processes and make sure they're accurate and well controlled.\nOversee and support month-end, including the close, P&L, segment cuts, KPIs and commentary.\nOversee and support the year-end audit with our external auditors.\nBudget, forecast & planning\nRun the monthly rolling reforecast end to end.\nOwn the annual budget and 3-year plan.\nTarget forecast variance of ≤3% on revenue and EBITDA.\nBring business inputs together into a single, defensible view of performance and outlook.\nBoard reporting\nPrepare Board and executive reporting to PE-backed Board standard.\nBuild PowerPoint packs that turn complex analysis into a clear, actionable story.\nCommercial partnering, pricing, M&A & market assessment\nAct as the Commercial team's finance partner on pricing and revenue forecasting.\nRun pricing analysis and deal costings, and support deal review and contract approval.\nSupport M&A with modelling, valuation, market sizing, synergy assessment and due diligence.\nSize new markets and growth opportunities, and pressure-test the assumptions.\nAI, process improvement & transformation\nHelp lead finance process transformation to improve efficiency, control and scalability.\nEmbed AI into how the finance team works.\nDeliver process improvements, especially a shorter month-end close, and share reusable tools across the team.\nWhat You'll Need\nCA or CFA qualified.\n5 years' experience in strategic FP&A or corporate finance / valuations (e.g. investment banking, transaction services, strategy consulting with a finance focus).\nStrong financial modelling (essential): you build models others can audit, trust and reuse.\nStrong PowerPoint and storylining (essential): you turn analysis into a clear executive or Board narrative.\nAdvanced Excel and a clear understanding of what drives a P&L.\nSolid understanding of accounting processes, month-end and audit, enough to oversee them and lead improvements.\nComfortable presenting numbers and trends to the CFO and executives.\nA real interest in using AI to work smarter, with the curiosity to try new tools and build them into how the team works.\nExposure to B2B software, payments or technology businesses preferred.\nNice to Haves\nPeople management experience, ideally leading or developing finance or accounting staff.\nExperience
