The role will be client facing and will require an in-depth knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation particular to Scotland.\nInitially focused on the deliverables of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contracts, the role will eventually expand to cover the construction, installation and commissioning of new Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substations serving communities in and around Scotland and Western Isles.\nThe role will report directly to the UK HSE manager and is anticipated to require line management skills together with the ability to develop a high performing team\nKey Responsibilities:\nEnsure HSE risk identification and controls are applied across Linxon operations\n\nDrive behavioural change to continuously improve HSE performance throughout Linxon through initiatives and training in order to raise awareness and gain commitment throughout the project team\n\nDevelop and maintain sustainability including environmental mitigation measures\n\nEnsure all operational sites maintain and update the SWMP and utility usage on a monthly basis\n\nInterface with headquarters, site staff and subcontracted companies on environmental issues including compliance with permits and consents\n\nCreate and maintain as required tender and project documentation including Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans (CPP), ensuring changes are communicated to main contractors.\n\nMonitoring compliance with the Linxon HSE management system, Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan (CPP), Construction Phase Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) related legislation and good practices.\n\nConduct regular site inspections and ensuring actions are closed out in a timely manner.\n\nProviding HSE guidance, advice and support.\n\nInvestigating accidents and serious incidents, reporting findings and ensuring actions are taken to prevent recurrence.\n\nEnsure Linxon BMS follows relevant ISO standards and is updated to reflect good practices.\n\nInput data into Eco-Online (Incident Database) as required\n\nCoordinate and collaborate with the HSE, Quality and other Function teams as required\n\nPrepare tender information for Clients in line within deadlines and Client expectations\n\nDeputise for UK HSE Manager as and when required\n\nExperience Required:\nExperience in HSE function ideally in the EPC environment\n\nExcellent knowledge of general HSE regulatory requirements - Scotland\n\nFluency in English - both written and spoken\n\nEnvironmental experience\n\nIncident Investigation experience\n\nTeam management skills\n\nCustomer Facing experience\n\nChartered Member of IOSH or IIRSM\n\nNEBOSH Diploma or working towards\n\nEnvironmental qualification - IEMA\n\nQuality Lead auditor - ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 (desirable)\n\nAbout Linxon:\n“Building the infrastructure to power the world”\nAt Linxon, we are leaders in delivering innovative EPC substation projects essential for the energy transition.
