You will be part of Linxon Engineering Department and execute complex turnkey substation projects. In this role you provide the technical lead for the primary discipline in coordination with the remote Linxon design team, the overall project lead engineer and the project team.\nYou will ensure that technical tasks to the project related to primary discipline are cost effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. You will collaborate during site activities with interface during construction, technical support to commissioning and start-up.\nWhat will you do?\nKey Areas of Responsibility (KARs):\nTechnical lead of Linxon primary engineering team allocated to the project.\nOverall responsible for managing & leading all primary engineering activities from project start till the As-Built stage with strict adherence to Project Specifications & Linxon standards including QA/QC, HSSE & Integrity.\nAccountable for the submission on time and to quality of the primary design packages in line with the overall project schedule and in coordination with all the internal stakeholders.\nMonitor primary engineering cost, report risk & change management activities.\nCoordinate with Linxon engineering team (local & remote) of other disciplines for primary related interfaces.\nTechnical lead, review and validation of the documentation, related to your discipline, issued by internal & external partners, sub-suppliers \nCompletion of the relevant primary sections of the general project documentation (i.e. Design Intent Document).\nEnsuring all design changes are managed in accordance with the design change management process defined by the contract.\nAttending Design Review meetings (DRMs) and Hazard review meetings (HRMs) as required by Linxon project team.\nParticipate in technical discussions with customer and suppliers, handle site queries and take necessary actions up to as-built documentation\n In case of tenders, prepare the RFQs, validate the technical content the offers provided by suppliers, provide your estimation of the budget for the resources to be allocated to primary scope.\nExperience Required:\nBachelor or master’s in electrical engineering or equivalent.\nExtensive experience in HV substation engineering for utilities. \nKnowledge of the modern GIS and AIS substation technology.\nOther Position-Specific Characteristics\nAvailability to travel 25 % of the time (domestic/international travel)\nFlexibility in working in an office and on a construction site.\nCompetencies/ Skills Required:\nResult orientated team player with a proactive approach.\nExcellent in communication, to interact with external and internal parties at all levels in a multi-cultural environment.\nExpert knowledge in Substation primary design and engineering, Layouts, Grounding & Lightning design, Steel design inputs, transformers, HV & MV Switchgear systems, HV & MV cable calculations, earthing calculations.\nStrong in MS Office, knowledge in MicroStation and AutoCAD is required.\nFluency in English - both written and spoken\nAbout Linxon\nShaping energy solutions to empower sustainable connectivity.\nWe combine Hitachi Energy’s deep technological knowledge and Atkins Realis’s project management expertise to create a company dedicated to substations - we are Linxon.\nLinxon’s vision is to deliver the best market offering for turnkey substation projects through world-class power technologies and delivering the highest level of competence in managing infrastructure projects.\nAs a leading engineering company, we help our customers with turnkey substation solutions in the field of power transmission, renewable energy and transportation.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of a new company as it evolves and help shape it for the future.
