The individual will act as a contributor, applying established engineering methods, technical knowledge, and proven technologies to deliver mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design solutions efficiently.\nThis position is responsible for providing MEP engineering design support across multiple projects within GETS. The incumbent will execute assignments on several medium-sized projects or specific portions of large-scale projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and full compliance with contractual requirements and quality standards. A strong emphasis will be placed on maintaining the highest quality levels while strictly adhering to safety regulations.\nWhat will you do?\nPerform detailed HVAC system design, including load calculations, equipment sizing, duct routing, and ventilation design in compliance with project requirements.\nDesign and review electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and cable routing for substation buildings.\nDevelop plumbing and drainage systems, including water supply, sewage, stormwater drainage, and firefighting systems as per applicable standards.\nPrepare and review single line diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, panel schedules, and equipment layouts.\nCoordinate closely with primary, secondary and civil engineering teams to ensure alignment of MEP systems with substation equipment and layouts.\nConduct design reviews and participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings to ensure clash-free and optimized designs.\nReview vendor drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications to ensure compliance with project and contractual requirements.\nSupport procurement teams by providing technical inputs, evaluating vendor offers, and assisting in technical bid analysis.\nPerform site inspections and audits to verify installation quality and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.\nAssist in testing, commissioning, and handover activities of MEP systems, ensuring systems operate as per design intent.\nEnsure energy-efficient and sustainable design practices are incorporated into MEP systems wherever applicable.\nApply relevant international standards such as IEC, BS, NFPA, ASHRAE, and local regulations in all design activities.\nIdentify project risks related to MEP scope and proactively propose mitigation measures.\nMaintain proper documentation, revision control, and record of all MEP deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and BIM modelers within the team.\nExperience, Education and other Required:\n12+ years of experience in substation design on MEP.\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.\n10+ years of professional experience in Building Services / MEP Design.\nStrong proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.\nSolid technical knowledge of MEP services, with the ability to specialize in Mechanical (HVAC), Electrical, or Plumbing systems.\nGood understanding of BIM workflows, including 3D modelling, coordination, clash detection, and preparation of general arrangement drawings.\nFamiliarity with international codes and standards such as IEC, BS, NFPA, ASHRAE and relevant design guidelines.\nProven experience in preparing engineering deliverables across all project stages, from concept through to detailed design and GFC.\nAbility to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and contract requirements effectively.\nStrong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.\nWell-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.\nExposure to international projects, with experience in UK standards and practices considered an advantage.\nExperience in relevant sectors such as substation buildings, power and electrical infrastructure, or industrial projects is preferred.\nWhat we offer:\nIn return, we offer a wide range of rewards and benefits,\n20 days Privilege Leave, 13 days Emergency leave and 14 Public holidays per year\n\nMedical Insurance, Life Insurance and Career Progression\n\nWhen it comes to diversity and inclusion, we see things differently at Linxon - we encourage applications from people of all races, ages, genders, religions, sexual orientations and more - so whoever you are, we hope you’ll see things our way, too.\n\nAbout Linxon\nShaping energy solutions to empower sustainable connectivity.\nWe combine AtkinsRéalis project management expertise and Hitachi Energy’s deep technological knowledge to create a company dedicated to substations - we are Linxon.\nLinxon’s vision is to deliver the best market offering for turnkey substation projects through world-class power technologies and delivering the highest level of competence in managing infrastructure projects.\nAs a leading engineering company, we help our customers with turnkey substation solutions in the field of power transmission, renewable energy, and transportation.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of a new company as it evolves and help shape it for the future.
