The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge of HV environments, experience with NEC4 contracts, and a track record of managing subcontractors, programme delivery, cost control, and risk/opportunity management.\nWhat You Will Do\nProject Leadership\nLead the end-to-end delivery of a two stage HV substation project, ensuring compliance with safety, technical, and contractual requirements.\nPlan and manage project programme, milestones, interfaces, and deliverables to meet customer and business objectives.\nContract & Commercial Management\nAdminister projects under NEC4 contract governance, including early warnings, compensation events, change control, and communications.\nMaintain robust cost management practices: forecasting, cost tracking, budget control, and financial reporting.\nTechnical & Construction Management\nOversee construction activities within HV environments, ensuring safe working practices and adherence to relevant standards.\nManage subcontractors effectively: performance, quality, progress, and compliance with contractual obligations.\nCoordinate with engineering, commissioning, and operational teams to ensure quality of delivery.\nRisk & Opportunity Management\nLead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities throughout the project lifecycle.\nDrive opportunity realization to improve programme, cost, or technical outcomes.\nMaintain and report on project risk registers and mitigation strategies.\nStakeholder & Interface Management\nAct as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.\nEnsure strong communication and collaboration across engineering, commercial, HSE, and operational teams.\nPrepare and present project progress reports, dashboards, and performance updates.\nHealth, Safety & Environment\nPromote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with HV safety rules, CDM regulations, and company HSE policies.\nSupport environmental compliance and sustainability objectives throughout project delivery.\nAbout You (Required Experience & Skills)\nBachelor's degree in engineering or project management.\nProven experience managing HV substation or transmission/distribution projects.\nStrong understanding of NEC4 contract mechanisms and commercial governance.\nDemonstrable experience managing multiple subcontractors and designers and interfaces.\nProgramme management skills\nCost management and financial reporting capability.\nExperience in risk mitigation and opportunity realisation\nStrong communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.\nDemonstrated commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.\nExperience in working with transmission connected Clients.\nDesirable\nProject management qualifications (APM, PRINCE2, PMP).\nHeavy civil or mechanical and electric engineering background.\nWhat we offer:\nIn return, we offer a wide range of rewards and benefits:\nBenefits: 25 days holiday entitlement + Statutory and public holidays + Additional 3 (three) days holiday available on our purchase scheme\nLife Assurance and Career Progression\nAbout Linxon:\nOur heritage\nWe combine Atkins Realis's project management expertise and Hitachi Energy’s industry leading technological knowledge into a company dedicated to substations.
