With offices in New York, San Francisco, and London, LionTree serves clients across the globe.\nJob Summary:\nWe are seeking an individual to join our Public & Capital Markets division, which has a multifaceted mandate across thematic research/insights, institutional investor coverage, and IPO advisory.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nA primary responsibility will be to create editorial content that covers a wide range of topics in the media, technology, and digital economy sectors. This includes:\nAssisting in the preparation of a weekly TMT thematic report which is distributed to the firm’s top clients (public and private company executives, private equity and venture capital investors, and large institutional investors)\nAssist in other monthly and quarterly thematic content that we create and distribute\nStay on top of key industry and sector trends\nAnother primary responsibility is to help plan, support, and execute our company and sector discussions and bus tours with our institutional investor clients\nOther responsibilities include:\nHelp maintain our processes, systems, and databases\nSupport our IPO advisory efforts\nInteract and engage with clients, internal constituents, and senior management teams\nParticipate in cross-product collaboration with banking advisory and merchant banking teams\nRequirements: \nMust enjoy writing and researching and must also have strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills\nMust have the ability to distill large amounts of information succinctly and be able to cut through the noise\nMust have a high level of attention to detail\nMust be able to meet deadlines (we publish on Friday nights)\nMust be entrepreneurial, a self-starter, and have a strong work ethic\nMust have a level of knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and the public markets\nMust have the ability to work effectively in a small team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important\nExperience & Qualifications: \nMust have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field\n2+ years of Sell-Side / Buy-Side Equity Research, financial journalism, or corporate role in the TMT sector\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling\nAdvanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills\nGeneral technology skills\nNot required but a plus:\nBuyside relationships with TMT investors & experience with investing\nExperience using FactSet and Bloomberg, and other data aggregation
