You will execute a wide range of projects for the industry leader in the database devops space. \nWhat you’ll be doing\nAccounting Operations: oversee the monthly and quarterly close process, payroll, billing, AR/AP, general ledger, and revenue recognition\nCompliance and Risk Management: ensure adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and industry compliance standards, mitigating financial risks\nAudit and Tax Oversight: drive all aspects of the annual financial audit with external auditors and partner with tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of federal and state tax filings\nTreasury and Cash Management: Manage the treasury function by overseeing bank accounts, debt facility, compliance reporting, and cash flow forecast \nSystem and Process Optimization: develop and implement scalable financial systems and processes to support company growth and efficient financial operations .\nTeam Development: Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture that supports business objectives\nCross Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, HR, the leadership team and all departments to optimize financial performance and operations\nMust Haves\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\n8+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role\nCPA or equivalent certification preferred.\nDeep understanding of US GAAP and the ability to communicate complex accounting issues to both finance and non-finance personnel\nExperience managing a team and mentoring staff accountants.\nProficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks and Maxio) and Microsoft Excel.\nMonitoring of company T&E policy and expense management via Brex\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.\nProven experience in automating accounting processes and implementing accounting systems\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.\nDetail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment\nPerks of life at Liquibase: \nRemote First culture, potential for company-wide in-person gatherings\nHome office allowance for remote workers\nMeaningful equity (US only)\nComprehensive health, vision, and dental benefits - country dependent\nGenerous paid time off and paid holidays\n401K matching (US only)\nNo punks, no jerks culture\nGrowth opportunities and ability to move up within the company\nWe take pride in:\nA transparent and collaborative team environment.
