Together, we ensure efficiency, security, and convenience for our partners and customers.\n\nRole Overview\nWe are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer with strong AWS infrastructure experience and hands-on database expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL.\nThis role will be responsible for managing and supporting our AWS cloud infrastructure, Linux and Windows server environments, and AWS RDS databases. The candidate should be comfortable owning infrastructure operations, server patching and upgrades, database performance and maintenance, production incidents, and reliability improvements.\nThis is a hands-on role requiring strong experience across AWS Cloud, Linux and Windows administration, AWS RDS Oracle and PostgreSQL, automation, security, and production operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nAWS Cloud Infrastructure\nManage, support, and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure across production and non-production environments.\nSupport AWS services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, Load Balancers, S3, CloudWatch, Route 53, and related services.\nMonitor infrastructure availability, performance, capacity, and security.\nTroubleshoot infrastructure issues and participate in production incident resolution.\nImplement cloud infrastructure changes following proper change management processes.\nSupport High Availability, Disaster Recovery, backup, and business continuity requirements.\nIdentify opportunities for performance optimisation, automation, and AWS cost optimisation.\nLinux and Windows Server Administration\nManage Linux and Windows server environments hosted on AWS.\nOwn regular OS patching, security patching, vulnerability remediation, and server upgrades.\nPerform operating system version upgrades and server lifecycle management.\nImplement server hardening based on security standards and audit requirements.\nMonitor server CPU, memory, disk, filesystem, services, and system performance.\nTroubleshoot OS, network, application connectivity, and performance-related issues.\nMaintain patching schedules, compliance status, and remediation tracking.\nAWS RDS Database Administration\nManage and support AWS RDS Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments.\nMonitor database health, availability, capacity, sessions, connections, storage, CPU, memory, and query performance.\nPerform database performance tuning and troubleshooting.\nAnalyse slow queries, execution plans, locks, sessions, indexes, and database performance bottlenecks.\nManage RDS parameter groups, option groups, maintenance windows, and database configurations.\nPlan and execute Oracle and PostgreSQL engine upgrades and patching.\nManage database backups, snapshots, point-in-time recovery, and restore testing.\nSupport Multi-AZ, High Availability, replication, and Disaster Recovery requirements.\nPerform database capacity planning and storage monitoring.\nSupport database security, access controls, encryption, and audit requirements.\nWork with application teams on database optimisation and production issues.\nAutomation and DevOps\nAutomate repetitive infrastructure and operational activities.\nDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.\nUse automation tools such as Ansible, Python, Shell, or PowerShell.\nAutomate server patching, monitoring, compliance reporting, and operational activities where possible.\nSupport CI/CD and infrastructure deployment processes.\nMonitoring and Production Operations\nSupport 24/7 production environments and participate in on-call support where required.\nMonitor infrastructure and database alerts and proactively resolve issues.\nParticipate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management.\nPrepare root cause analysis (RCA) reports and implement preventive actions following production incidents.\nWork closely with DevOps, SRE, Security, Application, and Database teams.\nMaintain infrastructure documentation, operational procedures, patching records, and runbooks.\nRequired Experience\nAt least 7 years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related roles.\nStrong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.\nStrong Linux administration experience.\nGood hands-on Windows Server administration experience.\nStrong experience managing server patching, OS upgrades, security remediation, and vulnerability management.\nStrong hands-on experience supporting AWS RDS Oracle and PostgreSQL.\nExperience with Oracle and PostgreSQL performance troubleshooting and tuning.\nExperience with RDS backup, restore, snapshots, Multi-AZ, maintenance, and engine upgrades.\nGood understanding of database indexing, SQL performance, locks, sessions, and execution plans.\nExperience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.\nExperience with scripting and automation using Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Ansible.\nStrong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, operating systems, networking, and databases.\nExperience supporting business-critical production environments.\nPreferred Experience\nAWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.\nOracle or PostgreSQL database certification.\nExperience with container platforms such as ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.\nExperience with monitoring platforms such as New Relic, CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar tools.\nExperience working in highly regulated environments such as financial services, banking, or
