Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this position entails handling, cleaning, troubleshooting, testing, diagnosing, performing preventative maintenance, and repairing assorted Electro-Mechanical assemblies. The ability to adapt to a fast paced and dynamic environment is essential. The position will be based in Jessup, Maryland.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES \nAssembly, test, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical assemblies.\nPerform complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction and documentation.\nAbility to communicate technical problems and work with others (technicians, engineers, field operators, etc.), as required to solve them.\nProvide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.\nComply with HS&E policies and procedures.\nInstall hardware and software configurations.\nIdentify, analyze and repair product failures.\nTracking of materials and project related documentation.\nCompleting all necessary quality documents\nMaintain a clean and orderly work area\nMaintaining and ordering supplies and tools.\nOther duties and assignments as required.\nSKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS \nJ-STD001, IPC-A-610, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification preferred.\nProficiency in MS Office.\nAdvanced skills in assembling of electro-mechanical devices.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow procedures and maintenance practices.\nProficiency in the use of multi-meters and other basic instruments.\nProficiency in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes. \nFamiliarity with waterproofing techniques (ex. Dryboxes, molding/potting, etc.)\nTechnical diploma, Associates, or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical field preferred.\n2+ years’ relevant industrial experience.\nFamiliarity with serial and network communication tools like TeraTerm and PuTTY.\nAbility to lift 50 pounds.\nAbility to work outside (rain or shine) and walk a ¼ mile distance. \nU.S. Person status required.\nPay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nSummary pay range: $25.72 - $35.37 per hour\nLiquid Robotics designs and manufactures Wave Gliders®, the first wave and solar powered autonomous ocean robots.
