While the Program Manager focuses on leading people and overall execution, the Project Controller focuses on the data, analyzing costs, program tasks, and schedule status to provide a transparent picture of project health. They use tools, metrics and techniques to report on variances and earned value. The Project Controller will report to the Head of Program Management.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCost and Schedule Management: Establishing the project’s baseline schedule and cost. They manage the \"Commitment\" vs. \"Actual\" expenditure, ensuring that the project remains financially viable throughout its duration.\nScheduling and Planning: Developing and maintaining the project’s Integrated Master schedule (IMS). They identify the \"Critical Path\"-the sequence of stages that determines the minimum time needed for the project-and alert program management if any link in the chain is slipping.\nEarned Value Management (EVM): Utilizes the industry-standard EVM method to measure project performance. By comparing the value of work actually performed against the planned value, they can mathematically predict the final cost and completion date.\nForecasting and Trend Analysis: Looking ahead to predict future performance based on current data. Project Controllers identify trends and provide \"What-If\" scenarios to help program management make informed course corrections.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Project Management\n10-12 years of experience in project controls or cost engineering.\nMay have professional certification such as AACE CCP (Certified Cost Professional) or PMP (Program Management Professional).\nMastery of MS Project and Earned Value Management (EVM).\nStrong communication skills to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.\nPay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nSummary pay range for exempt: $95,000 - 169,000\nLiquid Robotics designs and manufactures Wave Gliders®, the first wave and solar powered autonomous ocean robots.
