The role designs and executes test scenarios, identifies and documents defects, validates fixes, and supports regression and release testing. The position works closely with Product, Development, Business Analysis, and Delivery teams to prevent defects, improve test coverage, and support timely, high-quality releases.\n Plan, design, and execute manual test cases based on business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.\nPerform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and user acceptance testing as required.\nIdentify, reproduce, document, prioritize, and track software defects using the approved defect management process and tools.\nValidate defect fixes and perform regression testing to ensure that changes do not introduce new issues.\nWork closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve testing issues.\nReview requirements and user stories early in the development lifecycle and identify gaps, ambiguities, risks, and testability concerns.\nMaintain test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution results with appropriate traceability to requirements.\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.\nSupport release validation and provide clear testing status, defect summaries, risks, and quality recommendations to stakeholders.\nPerform database validation and basic data verification using SQL when required.\nEnsure testing activities follow established QA standards, processes, documentation practices, and project timelines.\n Education/ Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.\n1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing, preferably in web-based or enterprise applications.\nExperience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment.\nExperience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or equivalent tools preferred.\nExperience with API testing tools such as Postman is preferred.\nSkills and Ability:\nStrong understanding of software testing principles, QA processes, defect lifecycle, and industry-standard testing methodologies.\nHands-on experience in creating comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test execution reports.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a systematic approach to identifying, analyzing, reproducing, and troubleshooting software defects.\nAbility to understand business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria and translate them into effective and comprehensive test coverage.\nExperience in testing web-based applications, including cross-browser compatibility, responsive UI, functional, integration, and regression testing.\nExperience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira or equivalent tools.\nExposure to test automation concepts or hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks and tools will be an added advantage.\nWorking knowledge of Jira or similar defect/project tracking tools.\nExperience with API testing, Postman, SQL/database validation, or automation testing concepts is a plus.\nWork Conditions/ Physical Demands:\nThis position is performed primarily in an office work environment and requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. The role requires regular use of a keyboard, mouse, monitor, phone, and other standard office equipment. The employee must be able to communicate effectively through video conferencing, phone, email and other electronic communication tools.
