LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Edison, NJ.\nResponsibilities\nThis position offers the opportunity to work on bridge and transportation-related projects, while also gaining exposure to a broad range of structural engineering work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This role offers hands-on experience and direct mentorship from senior engineers, with the opportunity to see projects through from initial investigation and design to construction. Ideal for an engineer who is eager to learn, take on responsibility, and grow within a collaborative team environment.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform structural engineering analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structures\nPrimary duties will be related bridge structural design and inspection, but seeking versatile engineer with broad structural engineering interests\nServe as the lead designer on simple to moderately complex assignments\nAssist in site investigations to document existing conditions, including bridge inspection\nPerform site inspections for work engineered by our office\nComplete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications\nProvide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects\nCoordinate work product with other in-house engineering staff and architects\nQualifications\nBachelor of Science in Structural or Civil Engineering\n7-15 years of related experience\nNY PE required, NJ PE is a plus\nBridge inspection experience and certification is a plus\nPrior experience with NYCDOT, NYSDOT, NJDOT standards is a plus\nUnderstanding and application of code requirements\nExperience in using various structural analysis software\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAutoCad experience a requirement, Revit is a plus\nInterest in developing a well-rounded structural engineering skill set\nOur Culture:\nWe believe in the power of collaboration.
