The successful candidate will work closely with our recently hired bridge leadership in New Jersey and will play a key technical role in project delivery, client coordination, and the continued growth of LiRo-Hill’s bridge and transportation structural practice in the region. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Edison, NJ.\nResponsibilities\nPerform structural engineering analysis and design for bridge and transportation-related structures, including rehabilitation, replacement, preservation, and load rating assignments\nServe as a senior technical resource for NJ agency work, with a strong working knowledge of NJDOT standards and familiarity with NJTA, PANYNJ, NJ TRANSIT, county, and municipal requirements\nServe as lead designer or task lead on bridge structural assignments, including simple to moderately complex projects\nSupport project managers and senior leadership with scope, schedule, budget, client coordination, and technical delivery\nAssist in site investigations to document existing conditions, including bridge inspection and condition assessment\nComplete and review design calculations; assist in the preparation of drawings, specifications, estimates, and technical reports\nProvide responses and solutions to issues during the construction administration phase of projects\nCoordinate work product with multidisciplinary and multi-office teams across civil, structural, architecture, MEP, and construction management\nMentor junior staff and help strengthen LiRo-Hill’s local bridge/structures capabilities in New Jersey\nQualifications\nBachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred\n10-15 years of related structural engineering experience, with a focus on bridge and transportation infrastructure\nNJ PE required; NY PE or additional licensure is a plus\nStrong experience with NJDOT standards required; NJTA, PANYNJ, NJ TRANSIT, county, municipal, NYCDOT, or NYSDOT experience is a plus\nExperience in bridge design, rehabilitation, inspection, load ratings, and preparation of contract documents\nBridge inspection experience and certification is a plus\nUnderstanding and application of applicable bridge design codes, agency standards, and structural engineering requirements\nExperience using structural analysis and design software\nAbility to manage multiple tasks, coordinate with internal and external teams, and meet deadlines\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with clients and agency reviewers\nAutoCAD experience required; MicroStation, OpenBridge, or Revit experience is a plus\nOur Culture:\nWe believe in the power of collaboration.
