Check our website: https://www.list.lu/\nHow will you contribute?\nYou will support the operation and continuous improvement of LIST’s Linux infrastructure (including user endpoints and IT services), ensuring reliable, secure and efficient environments for research and organisational activities.\nWorking within the IT Infrastructure team, you will:\n· Administer and maintain Linux servers and endpoints, including configuration, monitoring, patching, troubleshooting and lifecycle management.\n· Monitor infrastructure health, availability, capacity, performance and security, and respond to incidents and service requests.\n· Support endpoint-security operations, including hardening, antivirus, encryption, access control, compliance and vulnerability remediation.\n· Contribute to incident, problem, change and release management in line with established IT service-management practices.\n· Automate operational activities using tools such as Ansible or plain scripting, and contribute to standardisation through deployment playbooks and configuration-management tools such as ManageEngine Endpoint Central.\n· Support backup, recovery, disaster-recovery and business-continuity procedures.\n· Collaborate with Information Security, Applications, Development, IT Operations, researchers and other stakeholders to ensure stable, secure and compatible services.\n· Maintain accurate technical documentation, including infrastructure configurations, operational procedures, troubleshooting guidance and knowledge articles.\n· Contribute to IT asset, software and configuration-management activities, where applicable.\n· Follow emerging technologies and propose improvements to infrastructure reliability, security, efficiency and user experience.\nAdditional infrastructure responsibilities.\nUnder the guidance of IT Infrastructure colleagues, you will also support the administration, monitoring and maintenance of:\n· User accounts, access rights, authentication and permissions, in accordance with internal policies.\n· Virtualised and containerised environments using technologies such as VMware, Proxmox, Docker, Podman and Kubernetes.\n· Compute, storage, backup and high-performance-computing environments supporting research and organisational workloads.\n· Environments within public cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and Scaleway.\nProject delivery and activity management\nIn addition to day-to-day engineering and operational support, you will contribute to IT and infrastructure projects delivered through internal initiatives and in collaboration with external partners or clients.\nYou will manage your activities in accordance with LIST’s project-management methodology by planning and prioritising tasks, estimating effort, tracking progress, managing dependencies and risks, coordinating stakeholders and delivering agreed outcomes.
