You won’t be writing code day-to-day, but you’ll be expected to shape engineering practices, nurture talent, support strategic technical decisions, and ensure delivery happens sustainably.\nIf you’re passionate about developing engineers, aligning product and business, and building teams that embody healthy engineering culture, Litebox is the place for you\nLocation: LATAM\nType: Contractor\nResponsibilities\nPartner with Tech Leads to ensure technical execution, delivery quality, and alignment with engineering standards.\nProvide guidance and support primarily to Tech Leads (and indirectly to engineers), enabling autonomy, clarity, and continuous improvement in execution.\nCollaborate closely with the COO (to whom this role reports directly) to translate business priorities into actionable engineering plans.\nPartner with Product and Design to align strategy, priorities, and expectations, reducing ambiguity and clearing paths for execution.\nEnsure delivery planning is realistic, sustainable, and aligned with product and business goals.\nFacilitate high-trust communication, constructive feedback, and healthy decision-making across teams.\nDrive continuous improvement in processes, workflows, documentation, technical practices, quality, and observability.\nSupport talent decisions and team design (hiring, onboarding, role clarity, and performance signals) to grow engineering thoughtfully.\nHelp shape engineering culture, rituals, and operating mechanisms that scale as the organization evolves.\nUse AI tools to accelerate reasoning, documentation, decision-making, and communication.\nRepresent engineering in cross-functional contexts, surfacing risks early and proposing pragmatic, data-aware solutions.\nMaintain visibility of timelines, dependencies, and risks across teams, and ensure blockers are escalated and resolved quickly.\nValues Alignment (critical for this role)\nEngineering leadership at Litebox is grounded in how we work, not just what we deliver. roles (EM, Lead, Staff, or similar).\nExperience developing and retaining engineering talent.\nExperience managing delivery, priorities, and cross-functional alignment.\nStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to influence without relying on authority; bias toward clarity and collaboration.\nComfortable navigating ambiguity and making informed trade-offs.\nExperience working with distributed teams across time zones.\nEnglish proficiency (B2 or higher).\nNice to have\nPrevious experience as a software engineer (IC) before moving into management.\nExperience in product-driven and/or agency environments.\nExperience designing or operating performance review processes.\nExposure to scaling engineering orgs (practices, hiring,
