You’ll guide a team of Legal Knowledge Engineering Associates, oversee testing outcomes, and help shape how our products extract meaningful insights from legal documents. You’ll also experiment with prompting large language models (LLMs) and define rigorous testing standards to ensure our AI solutions are accurate, reliable, and impactful.\n\nWhat You'll Deliver\nWorking with our product/engineering/design teams to help set the vision for new legal tech products and features within Kira and the rest of Litera.\nExperimenting and testing Generative AI to ensure our products are built the best they can be.\nCreating prompts to allow for the accurate extraction of information from a document set.\nDesigning, conducting and analyzing robust AI testing.\n Maintain a thorough understanding of developments in your legal domain and continuously identify new opportunities to build into the products.\nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, gain efficiencies, and share best practices.\nWhat You'll Bring\nMust-Haves:\n4+ years practicing transactional law (large law firm, in-house, or legal service provider)\nHands-on experience working with AI - prompting, training, or building AI-driven products\nJD, with admission to the bar in at least one state/province\nStrong interest in legal technology and artificial intelligence\nStrong client service skills with excellent written and verbal communication\nExperience with legal operations, program management, or contract management systems is a plus\nNice to Haves:\nPrevious experience working at a tech company, before or after practicing law\nA track record of spotting workflow inefficiencies and finding ways to fix them\nComfort experimenting with new or unfamiliar technology, including \"vibe coding\"\nStrong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities independently\nWe know great candidates don't always check every box. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan. In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, and incentive and recognition programs. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.\nPay Transparency Notice for Canada Only Applicants: \nThe annual salary range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000 CAD. Actual compensation is determined by factors including education, work experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
